Day at The Children's Museum

Mom and I took Mason to the Children's Museum a couple of weeks ago.  He loved it.  He did have to get warmed up at first though.  So much stuff for one little guy to do!

Here he is driving the airplane.

Drawing on the wall.

"There's a fire over there!!!"

Loved the toddler slide.

We need some of these velcro letters...he would've stayed here all day.

What to do, what to do...

Of course, play with cars!

Perfect form.

The hard hat was a little big.

Loved the car exhibit.

Building on the earthquake table and then watching it all fall down.

Mom started scratching his back and he went into a trance...

Such a sweet little boy.

We loved the museum and will definitely be going back soon!

Weekend Fun

We had fun filled family weekend and I'm so tired this morning! Friday night we took Mason to the Germantown v. CBHS high school football game. He really enjoyed it and I see more Friday nights like this in our future!

He just played with his cars at our feet on the bleachers.

Sweet boy.

Uncle Will and Uncle Jake were there also. Here is Will holding him up to watch the game.

Giving Daddy a high five when GTown scored!

We did end up staying up wayyyyyy past our bedtime but it was worth it. He loved cheering when everyone else would and he LOVED the band!

Saturday night we had John's family over for dinner to celebrate Mr. Larry's 60th birthday. We did hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill. Mason played with Reese until he could barely keep his eyes open. Here he is waiting on everyone to come over...

He loves that little four wheeler but kept saying "Daddy, get away!" when John was trying to help him. I have a feeling we will be hearing things like that more often.

We went shopping and then to my parents while someone looked at our house on Sunday. It was time to go and Mason wanted something out of the fridge. His Gami told him he could get whatever he wanted; he chose yogurt. I told my mom no because we were leaving but she said he could eat it when we got home. Of course this is what happened though...

He got real quiet and I turned around to check on him and he had yogurt allllllll over him.

We had a great weekend! It was the last one until football season!!!

22 Months and More

It has been a couple of weeks since I updated the blog.  We really haven't been up to much except enjoying this awesome weather this past week.  Here are a ton of random pictures!

Mason turned 22 months on the 16th...this means in two months he will be TWO!!  =(
It just doesn't seem like he should be getting so old.  Although, he is certainly communicating like he should be.  He is now putting sentences together, opening the doors, and of course telling you what he wants when he wants it.  He really is the sweetest and most fun little boy ever and we cannot imagine our lives without him.

Loving some Mickey Mouse and giving him kisses.

We went outside and played with some chalk last weekend.  He had a good time and made a pretty good mess. =)

Ewww.  It's on my hand!

My hand is blue.

And now the face.

He helped Daddy with his edger...

So we needed a yummy milkshake after.

I just love this picture of John and Mason before bed.  =)

Emma got her teeth cleaned this week...look how shiny and white! =)  So proud.

Mason thought it was funny. =)

Yesterday it was a little hotter and Mason had a popsicle to entertain him while Daddy was on a conference call.  He loved it if you can't tell.

Mason found a random envelope of pictures in our guest bedroom and spread them all over the floor.  I couldn't help but go through them and there were some pretty funny ones in there.  Here is one of John and I sophomore year in high school.
 Blast from the past.

We have a baby shower for a friend at work tomorrow and then another baby shower Saturday.  Mom and I are going to try to sneak in the Children's Museum with Mason somewhere between the two.

Oh yeah, Mason is so excited for football season and has been practicing.
Only a couple of weeks away!!!!  Hotty Toddy!

Hot Summer Days

We haven't been up to much lately.  Mason absolutely LOVES going "ouside" to play but it has just been so hot.  He is now tall enough to open the doors too so it has been interesting around here.  =)  He lets the dog in so I know he can let her out too and that is never a good thing.  We have been trying to entertain indoors and just doing a little outside.

Just hanging out in the laundry room waiting for someone to find me!

Fixing our lawnmowers.  (my lens fogged up but I love this picture)

And all of us playing in his tent.

Eating watermelon, honey dew, and cantaloupe watching TV.  =)

We went to Cracker Barrel for Saturday morning breakfast.  I love love this picture.

We let him ride this for a few minutes.

Such a big boy.

Last night we went to the boys softball game.  They WON!!!  Woo hoo!  It was hot and past our bedtime so when the ice cream truck stopped by,  we got some yummy treats.

I was not very smart and probably got Mason the biggest and most colorful popsicle there was.  Reese picked out one with a cone...I will just follow her lead next time!  Mason had it all over his face, running all down his arms, and on Becca who was helping him.  =)

But they loved the ice cream and I think they both have so much fun at those games.
