Beach Part 3

Beach day....I lost count.
But this was the second to last day in the sun, and it was a beautiful day!

Baby David was ready for the sun!

This is the description of Brody for most of the week.  He wanted to wear floaties instead of the puddle jumper, so we let him.  But he was constantly trying to drown himself swim underwater.  It scared John to death!

We swam and played in the ocean all day.

The water was so pretty this day.
It was really the only day it was clear.

We had dinner reservations at Shipp's Harbour Grill this night.

They said they would only give me smiles if they could also do silly faces.

Photobombers.

Entertaining us at dinner.

The food was amazing.  It was all so fresh.
We will definitely be back.

And this view was gorgeous.
I love this picture almost as much as I love the people in it!

We went back to the condo before hitting up go-karts and the arcade.  The sky was absolutely amazing and I pulled the "I don't care if you want to or not, we are taking pictures" card.

I mean it was so pretty.

We took lots!

The full moon was actually the next night, but close enough!

Time to race.

Brody and I ended up in the slow car....John and Mason blew our doors off.

So we switched riders for the second round.  John and Brody got the "slow car" I had just driven.  Somehow, it magically started going faster, and John and Brody smoked us!  Guess it may have something to do with the driver.  Now neither kid wants me to drive them!

We did this amazing simulated roller coaster.  This contraption goes upside down and all.  Somehow, my earring fell off during the ride.  I thought it was a goner, but Mom refused to give up and found it!

Last day of fun in the sun.

It was a tad bright...

So we finally let him take the floaties off on the last day.  (honestly, the water was finally warm enough to be in there with him!)  He was able to dive right down and grab his toy on the bottom of the pool.  That's all the poor kid wanted to do....he didn't wanna drown himself, he wanted to swim!

So by the end of the day, he was swimming underwater (very well may I add) to the other side of the pool with no help.  He can swim!

See, water was back murky again.  But it was still fun to play in.

Again, he preferred the sand.

Baywatch alert.

My three favorite people.
Those boys are lucky to have John.

Best parents award.

Love him.

He is looking wayyyyyyy too old.
(notice his shark tooth necklace purchase)

This is one of my favorite pictures from the trip!

The last night we were there, it was a strawberry full moon.
Coolest sight ever to see it rising.

Thanks Ashley for the photography skills!

We packed up and then let the kids have one more night of swimming before bed.

One final hug goodbye at the condo.

And one unhappy boy.

And the other was a tired boy.

We had the best week.  It is about the only time during the year that our entire family has off, so we can enjoy each other.  We love our beach trips and look forward to them every year.

This year, Mason lost his front tooth on an ocean wave, and Brody learned to swim!

Until next year.....
