Pizza night with appropriate attire.
Mason got his appliance. He did so great at every appointment.
Once they put it in, he was quite devastated that he thought his speech sounded different. He wanted them to take it back out. Of course that wasn't an option and finally after much convincing, he walked back into school and survived the day.
Poor guy had a tough day. His mouth was hurting pretty bad and he was exhausted. His sweet teacher brought him out to my Mom after school, he had fallen asleep. Eating was touch and go, so his favorite Daddy took him for ice-cream.
Friday was Brody's trike-a-thon at school. He was super pumped. But if I'm being honest, the child refuses to pedal. He likes to "walk" his bike with his feet. But he did great and was very proud of himself.
Blue day at school for autism.
We had another Mexican night with friends. Lawson was pretty interested in these two wild boys and their toys.
Saturday was buuuuuuusy.....and unfortunately windy and cold.
Brody was not interested in getting out there. He really just wanted a donut and asked about 1 million times.
Mason was cold too, so we had him get out there with Brody during the instructional part. That was the only way Brody was going to get out there.
Kicking the ball through their legs.
Our cheering squad got a little ripped off.
Brody was crying sitting more than playing.
My fav picture. They do love each other.
We had Brody's soccer at 9. Then we had a birthday party for our good friend Will at 11. Another party at Get Air and this time Mason was able to come to play with the big brothers. He had been dying to go!
Brody flying in the air.
Mason is getting to big. Him and all the brothers ran around that place together and had a blast....without John or myself.
Brody and his classmates.
The birthday party was over at 1 but John and Mason had to leave early to get to Mason's practice and game. Talk about a wild day. Poor guy was exhausted by the time the game started. This was the only picture I got.
He never tried to get to the ball during the game. He said he "wanted to play goalie". Problem is, there is no goalie in his league at this age. So we have been working all week on being a little more into actually trying to kick the ball and score. We shall see. Either way, he really likes playing and enjoys his teammates.
He was so happy everyone came out to his game. Uncle Robert, Aunt Becca, Reese and the boys. We had a family game of soccer going on after.
After naps, we grabbed dinner and decided to get ice cream again. The last two times we went, Brody has thrown out the actual ice cream and just eaten the cone. This time, we all agreed the child just does not like ice cream, so he just got the fancy cone. He was very pleased.
Ready for bed at this point.
Even with only the cone, this kid still managed to get chocolate all over his face.
Before church on Sunday. Brody has done so much better with walking into Sunday school. No more tears....as long as he brings Doggie with him of course.
Someone is a little jealous of Bubba's appliance so he thought sucking his fingers would help him to get one.
A little Sunday afternoon stroll.
And more soccer practice.
Someone cannot understand why he can't pick the ball up.
We are going to Disney in October. If you haven't heard, this Disney planning is nuts. I have been researching all the best restaurants we want for a while. At 180 days out, Disney lets you book your dining and it is CRAZY. I had to have John's help to get all the places we wanted. Sunday night we finalized everything we wanted.
And at 5am. Yes you read that right, 5 AM! Our reservations opened up. So John and I got the coffee going and booked everything. We actually had to take a couple of early dinners even with planning that early. John and I were on a high after it was over....
