Brody Turns 6 and Boys' Going Away Party

We officially sold our house.
And are officially Texans. (living in TN)

Mason finished up Winshape camp or as he called it "the best week ever".

We had to buy all the gear.  One shirt came with these glasses and bandana which they called a buff.  Problem is, he looks like a felon....

I had a farewell dinner on Thursday night with my hygiene friends.  Friday night my girlfriends and I went to Emily's house for heavy apps and girl talk.  It was perfect.  No pictures taken, which was good after some tears were shed.  No worries though, we will be back soon.

John took the boys to Robert and Becca's house for some Friday night baseball.

Last night as a 5 year old.

Officially 6.
I cannot believe my baby boy is 6 years old.  It tugs on my heart a bit.  He should NOT be that old.  No more babies in this house.

Since we are living at my parents and have stuff in our cars, we asked for no presents at his party.  But no worries, between grandparents and Mom and Dad, he got plenty!

His birthday fell on a Saturday this year.  We actually leave town the next weekend, so it made since to throw a dual party.  It was a Bday party for Brody as well as a Going Away party for both boys.  They each got to invite friends.  We rented a water slide at my parents house (they actually have the perfect yard for a party) and called it a day.

 They are TOOOOO grown.

First slide without water before friends arrived.

Some of Mason's friends.  I didn't do a good job of taking pictures.
Missing a couple of kids in this one.

Eating pizza, drinking Coke, and having 6 year old convos.

Birthday boy sliding....with goggles.

A twin slide.

 Brody and Griff

Triplets....or twins and a cousin.

Brody and Augo

Drew, Cannon, and Brody.
They have been the BEST of friends all year long.

Missing one kiddo here, but these are most of Brody's bestest friends.

That face he makes everyday.

I just love this picture.

Parties and Signatures

We saved a turtle last Friday. Our neighbor Luke came over and helped us pick it up.  It was HUGE and I just couldn't pick the thing up when he moved.  The thing was in the flower bed.

The boys were proud we got him to some water.

Robert and Becca along with Jake and Blake threw us a going away party last Saturday night.  One of Brody's best friends had a birthday party at the Redbirds game the same night.  His other very best friend's Mom offered to take Brody with her so they could all go.  He had the BEST time and I'm so thankful he got to go.

They have the best little friendship.  He will def miss them.

Speaking of the best of friends, we hit the jackpot with ours.
We had the BEST time at the party.  Nothing like sitting around eating, drinking, and laughing with friends.

Thankful for these two.  We were able to tell them about this move back in February when no one knew.  They have def been our go-tos through all of it.

Emily brought some great pictures.  This is from us eating lunch in Kindergarten together.  I mean all of our friends go wayyyyyy back.

Such as this.  Ha.

Again, so so fun.

No truer words!

Mason got to go to Winshape camp this week.  It is a Christian-based Chickfila camp.  It is all day which he is not used to.  Waking up early at the end of the summer if hard for him, but he said it was worth it.  They have sessions all day.  He is in flag football, basketball, and soccer.  I comes home each night talking non-stop.

He has several Tara Oaks friends there too.

The movers came Monday to start packing us up.  We moved in with my parents after seeing how many boxes and what all they packed.  It has def gotten real.

All that packing was just too boring for this child.....

So our neighbors rescued him and let him come and play!

Brody and Mom went shopping to see what he wants for his birthday.

And then yesterday, the movers came and took all of our stuff away.

Grandma Judy took Brody, Reese, and the twins to get snow cones.

It really was a sad day for us.  We have LOVED every since thing about this house.  We loved our school, friends we made at the school, and of course our neighbors.

I may have shed a tear or two while cleaning and getting the house ready for the next family.

We are sad to see it go, but look forward to making memories in our new home!  But for the next week....we will be homeless.  (or living with Mom and Dad)

Winshape camp.

We closed this morning on our Collierville home.  Signed some paperwork.  Then had a notary meet us at my parents house so we could sign all of the documents for our TX house.  We officially close tomorrow.  So.  Much.  Paperwork for the TX house.  Goodness.  They are sticklers on laws there.

No turning back now!
