December Update

Our elf has been up to no good. 

Speaking of no good, John bought me a birthday present a couple of weekends ago and clearly he is thrilled.  =)   We were able to enjoy a little afternoon date in Ft. Worth. 

The boys play outside about every chance they get with the neighbors. 

Since basketball was cancelled due to Covid, Brody's basketball team (baseball team) decided to get a flag football team together.  We had to split up into two teams.  Mason had already picked out Brody's Christmas gift which was football gloves.  He got to open them early!

I had our Bunco Christmas a couple of Fridays ago. It was Flannels and Favorite Things again.  I decided to go with this onesie. 

And my gift was Chickfila sauces along with the Elf makeup set spray.

It was one of my favorite things all year and it did not disappoint!!!

We had to be at Mason's first flag football game at 6:30am Saturday morning!!!!  Crazy early!  

He is LOVING flag football and really enjoys the receiver position.  

***You were only allowed one family member due to Covid and I had not a clue....this was the first and last game I got to attend! Ha***

He played really well and enjoyed every minute. 

We had breakfast and then headed to this guy's first game.

His his outdoors and also more of an instructional league.  Like I said, we split into two teams and added a couple of players.  This was our first week so we practiced and then only scrimmaged the other team which just so happened to be our other baseball friends!

Brody is all about that swag. 

I mean no-one was keeping score but we won by 1.....

We had a fun lunch after (busy busy day).

Our neighbor Owen plays ice hockey and was in the finals of a huge tourney with teams from all over the US.  We weren't able to see it in person due to Covid, but we watched on the computer!

They all watched Jack's favorite cartoon with him before school. 

School is out for Christmas break!!!!  WooHoo!

My birthday fell on a Saturday this year and we had a couple of football games, so John and I went to dinner Friday night to celebrate.  He let me carry my new purse. =)

Love him. We ate at Perry's and it was DELICIOUS. 

I wasn't allowed in Mason's football game Saturday morning but I did get to go to Brody's.  It was their first full game and it was against the other Knights team.  It is soooo fun sitting out there with all of our friends.  Since we were all there, I brought my camera to get better pictures. 

John is one of the coaches for Brody's team.

And it is so nice to sit outside on a December afternoon and enjoy the fresh air!

Dad gang. 

It was the first birthday ever that college football was still being played!  All I wanted to do was watch football and order take out!

We had an interception and everyone was jumping up and down!

The boys paused the game and baked me a cake. 

Brody was adamant they make me a strawberry cake.  

It was delicious and had NO egg shells!

This week, I am just getting the house ready for Christmas!

We started the week going to check out the Christmas Star!

Mrs. Peggy got the boys a telescope for Christmas and had them open it tonight  

It was so cool to see!

Thanksgiving 2020

We traveled back home to Memphis for the week of Thanksgiving.  We decided to leave on Sunday, so the boys found some time to play with friends before we left. 

I took the boys (and our neighbor) to the park to play football and one of Brody's friends and one of Mason's showed up.  They were pumped. 

We made it to Memphis on Sunday and immediately were spoiled rotten with all sorts of food. 

Brody loves a good powdered sugar donut. 

We got to see soccer games!

We saw Grandma Reba outside and with our masks on for a few minutes!

We also saw Reese's soccer game!

We took a stroll to the square and grabbed burgers and pictures. 

We even had a bourbon tasting with the other Browers!

While the kiddos had their very own fancy table.  

Steaks, mac and cheese, rolls, and bourbon.  Yum!

We did Thanksgiving at Mrs. Peggy's with a small crowd. 

Best we could do for all six of us!

(trust me, we tried!)

Brody begged for Santa pancakes and you better believe Mickey Mouse delivered. 

Pop's birthday was the Friday after Thanksgiving and we celebrated with a Wynn crab leg dinner!

The big 7-5. 

We spent a lot of time with Mom, Dad, and Robert, Becca and fam.  

The kids got a ton of cousin time but were still sad to say goodbye!

We came home to our elf arriving.  

Unfortunately, we could only get one elf this year due to so many elves having to quarantining not that the parents misplaced or threw out the little guys. 

Emma got to experience the joy of a fire. 

Found some hot cocoa balls!

We may only have one elf but he certainly has more fun since I bought a kit. 

Our elf hid a key to the North Pole in our house somewhere and Brody was looking all over for it.  Thankfully, he found it when he put on his shoes!

He also gave our pictures mustaches!
