Easter 2018

Life has been crazy, so I'm backing it up again to a week ago.

Mason had his first baseball game as an Astro.  Dad is one of the coaches and was excited to finally get to play a game.

Brody wanted in.

They won.  Super pumped.
They have a pretty good little team this year.

This guy has been practicing for t-ball.
He loves it and has been counting down the days until his first game.
His coach asked him who was his favorite MLB team.  He responded with "the Cubs".  (which is the name of their t-ball team.  Coach asked who his favorite player was.  Brody answered, "me".

He does not lack confidence....

It has been fun to watch.
Nothing is better than a bunch of 4/5 year olds playing tball!

We marched on over to the bigger fields for Mason to have practice.

One night last week, we watched Conner for our neighbors.
My boys are so good with him, and he just follows them around.

The boys were out for Good Friday, but John had to catch up on some things at work.  We did meet him for lunch at Huey's though.  Mason is all about the cheeseburger with an added fried egg.
The waitress told him all the cooks and waiters were impressed.
He has always been such a good eater.

Saturday morning practice for Brody.

With Dad and big brother in the outfield helping.
Not a distraction at all....

We grabbed pizza.

And then caught the end of Reese's track meet.
We ran home to rest and then went to Robert and Becca's for an Easter dinner/egg hunt.

Before dinner was ready, we let the kids hide/hunt eggs on their own.
I swear they could do that for hours!

Robert and Becca cooked up an awesome dinner and we all sat down and ate together.  Lots of giggles and good memories.

Once it got dark, we hid 100 glow in the dark eggs.

Ready to hunt!

It was hard to take any pictures of them hunting in the dark, but it was super fun.
I think they loved it.

We woke up Sunday morning to see what the Easter bunny left.

Got dressed and headed to Mickey Mouse and Pops to find their goodies there.

And of course take some Easter pictures!

What is Easter without that family picture dressed up.

We went to an awesome service at church, and then ran home to change, dye eggs, and cook for lunch.

Better late than never!

Mason and Brody played with Gina until lunch was ready.

The boys had a nerf war.

And then all the adults hid the Easter eggs for the kids at Mom and Dads.  It is the same memory I had growing up, and I'm so glad my kids get to experience it also.  I love having a big family.

Counting his eggs.

Nothing inside....

Brother/Sisters

Mason had a field trip on Monday at the Pink Palace.  I've had a ton of changes with my job, so unfortunately, I couldnt go.  But thankfully, Mom was able to go in my place!

They hung out with Ethan the entire time.
Pink Palace always bored me a bit when I was young and apparently, it does the same for Mason.
But it sounds like the iMax show was good.

Memphis Pizza Cafe lunch date!

Mason had three baseball games this week.  Brody's one t-ball game was rained out. I feel like this was possibly one of the busiest weeks ever.

He went 4 for 4 and played pitcher, so he got 4 outs.
He was pretty pumped.

Mason had to get two baby teeth extracted by Dr. Ashlock.  I was a bit nervous seeing he had never had any dental work other than a cleaning.  We put him on the gas and it was great.  He kept saying he felt so weird and flailing his arms around.  =)

But he did so great.  Never flinched.  He thought the whole thing was "so cool".
The tooth fairy brought him extra money since it was two teeth (with the full roots) and no tears!

It was a bit windy at the games this week.  Sun was shining but that wind was cold.
Dad couldn't handle it....

Mason has played so well all season long.

Brody had Kindergarten Kickoff last night at Tara Oaks.

Talk about a kid ready to finally go to school....

And each year our school has a new theme.  This year is a pirate's theme.
Next year is western.  They gave all the kiddos cowboy hats.

Mason is getting his ortho appliances today.
Big day!
