Beach Part 1

We took a week long trip to the beach last week and it was perfect.  We had the best time.
As always,  I have a million pictures to blog.

Starting off the trip right.  Stopped by the library so they could use their library cards to pick out books. Nothing like a good, FREE beach read.

We left on Saturday morning which happened to be John's birthday.  We had some ice cream sundaes Friday night to celebrate.

Our traditional Cracker Barrel breakfast stop headed to the beach.
Birthday boy and all.

We got an afternoon swim in the first day.

And more healthy desserts.

Nothing like talks on the balcony.

First morning on the beach.

We brought our tent this year and it was the best decision ever.  We stayed out on the beach the entire week, which is usually not the case.  It felt so great in the shade (because it was steamy hot already the first week in June), and we struggled to leave the tent.  It was so nice.

But we still stopped by the pool for a few swims, and had to get snow cones.

This is the life.

Mason and Brody LOVED the fried crab claws at Fin and Fork.
They left none for us!

(sleepy eyes)

First full day called for putt putt, go karts, and bumper boats.

Dad forgot his moose....hahaha

They said he was big enough but it made me nervous.  Ha.
He drenched everyone and anyone out there.

They started spraying us.

Day 2 started with checking out the ocean.

Mason made a fried and threw the baseball with him several days.

Brody learned to officially swim.  Like by himself, the length of a pool and more.
He got it.

Picnic in the sand.

Being silly.

Cannon Ball

Their own made up game.  They just play and play with each other.
Best friends.....for now.

We had decided to try to new amusement park in Foley out that night.  We drove the 25 minutes to get there and it was closing in less than 3 hours and super expensive.  Kids were the same price as adults.  We decided to nix the idea and eat in their little downtown area.  Mason wasn't too happy, but he got over it.

After burgers for dinner, we let them have fun at Fat Daddys Arcade.  It is their favorite and the name makes me laugh every time.

Mason hit the jackpot three times on this machine.

Tuesday we woke up to rain.  Boo.
We went to an awesome lunch hoping the rain would stop.

We booked the racquet ball room for a bit.

Had pop tarts for snack.

Played with new arcade toys in the tub.

And had tons of fun in the hot tub and indoor pool.

While we were swimming there, the sun finally popped out around 3pm.
We took the fun back outdoors.

NOT happy to wear the swimmies.....last time he ever had them on.
RIP shimmies forever.

Sunset was beautiful.

This was our crab hunting night.

 Caught a huge one.

 Mason caught this one.

Okay.  Onto to blogging the rest of the trip.
