Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful Easter weekend filled with beautiful weather and family time.
Good Friday was a fun one.  Becca and the kids came over to dye Easter eggs.  We had lots of eggs and dying kits.  As you can see here, Brody was more interested in eating cereal out of the box....

But really, it was lots of fun.
The coolest eggs involved dye and rice in a baggie.  Cleanup was easy and the eggs looked awesome.

What do you do if you drop an egg?!  Why eat it of course.

The kids took a break and started a lemonade business.  They may have each made 25 cents, but they had a good time doing it.

Every time these three get together.
There are always lots of big, belly laughs when you get caught throwing the stuffed animals downstairs.

John took us out to a nice dinner at Firebirds when he got home.  I swear our kids do better at nicer restaurants.  They are quieter and they LOVE the food.  Brody said "peace out" as he winked and gave the peace sign here.

We finally got to see Reese at her track meet Saturday.  I had never been to one before and it was really fun.  Events are going on the entire time.  She did AWESOME.  The girl can run and jump.

These three were cheering her on.

I think this was the 400m.

And this is after the 800m.
I would have been barely moving at the end and she was sprinting.

Saturday night we went to Mrs. Peggys for dinner with the family since Unlce Wayne and Gina were in town.  I think everyone was pretty tired at this point.

And sunburned.
But never too tired for some cake.

Worn out.

The Easter bunny came to see us Sunday morning.

Mason had been saving up his money for this Beyblade toy.  It is basically an expensive top like we had growing up.  Anyways, the Easter bunny brought it and he was shocked.  He didn't expect anything but some candy.  The kid has played with this thing ever since.

Bubbles

Obligatory church pictures on Easter Sunday.

Checking out their loot from Mickey Mouse and Pops.  It was super easy to stop by since their house is 2 miles away now!

He has played with this baseball bat and ball every day.

The three boys.

Love this picture even though Mason has gum sticking out of his mouth.

We had Easter at our house this year since Mom and Dad just moved.
It was a fun day.

We hid Easter eggs and ran after them without our shirt on.

This one was in rare form.

Sharing coconut cake.

Playing baseball.  So serious.

It was a super fun weekend.

Lots of Moving and Baseball

We have been busy.
With my parents moving, work, school, and baseball, I don't think we've stopped.
This past weekend was officially move in time  for Mom and Dad.  We did a lot of cleaning, painting, and unpacking Friday and Saturday.  Furniture was brought in Sunday.  These guys found a couple of chairs and never got back up Friday night.

We got a little bit of play time in early Saturday morning.
These three would ride their bikes every minute of the day if we would let them.

I think we all deserved a bit of sweets Saturday night.
On a side note, Mom and Dad stayed with us a few nights last week while they were homeless.  The boys LOVED it and asked every morning if they were spending the night again.

Really helping lifting that furniture.

This one was trying to stay out of the way.
Found him double dipping Nacho Cheese Doritos into Panchos cheese dip.

Made a grocery store run that afternoon and this finally happened.

And then this happened.
The kid never had any idea we went to Kroger.
You cannot imagine all the looks I got....

Mason was working on correct capitalization in paragraphs.
Apparently he is not happy no one has taught him to slide...

Exited to turn in his Easter basket at school for the egg hunt.

We have had a busy week of baseball.  Games Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The weather has been perfect.

They won, and he got a double.

So fun.

Brody took flowers for his teacher's birthday today.

PJ day at school for Mason (which is hard to do for a 7 year old boy FYI) and Easter egg hunt for Brody.

He's been hiding eggs daily for Mason ever since we got out the baskets.

Mason got to play third for a bit tonight and did well.

Honestly, the outfield is hard for all the boys.  I mean you don't get much action out there, and when you do, its not usually good.  You HAVE to pay attention in the infield and actually get some play on the ball.  He enjoyed it....but still loves putting on that catcher gear.

Scoring.

He got three hits in the game and was so excited.
He is loving baseball.

Now for a fun Easter weekend with family.

Busy Busy Week

Brody ready to take on a Friday.

This past Saturday,  we all went to work on the rental property all morning so we could get it on the market.

We ran home for John to take Mason to baseball practice.  Which left me and Brody to sit for a second in the sun with nothing to do.  (but we didn't tell anyone so they thought we were busy).

Of course after about a second, the neighborhood kids realized we were home, so out to the front yard we went.  I had to keep these three amigos out of trouble.

Sunday, John helped my parents move all of their furniture into storage, while the boys and I headed back to Dee to finish up.  Talk about a weekend of work.

We rushed home so we could make it to Levi's birthday party.  We had to miss it last year, and there was no way we could miss it this year.  This video truck came to the house, and the boys LOVED it.

There were two basketball games on the outside of the truck, and then several games inside.

Gamers.

Mom and Dad closed on both houses this week.
The boys LOVE the fact that they are staying with us for a few days.

We have finally had a rain-free week, so we have had three baseball games.  Whew.  It has been a busy week.  Mason got to play a little bit of catcher and really enjoyed it.

Of course a cold front came in Wednesday.  I cannot explain how windy and cold it was!!!

I always take Brody to school, but he asked John to one day this week.
So excited to show all his friends and teachers his Daddy.

Muffins with Moms was yesterday.   Grandmas and Aunts were invited too so Mickey Mouse came too since she is so close now.  He is being silly here, but he was loving all the attention.

Last night, the boys had a nail biter.
We ended tied, but did stop them from scoring and ended the game with a tie instead of a loss.

And Mom found my Gameboy Color.  Mindblown.

This boy was so excited for Trike-A-Thon today.
He said he is gonna do 100 laps.  Ha.
