This may take a couple of posts to get caught up. We took our annual beach trip a little later this year, and it was the best decision ever. NO ONE was there. School was back in session which meant no waiting at dinner or crowded beaches. We had a much needed family vacay.
On the way down...I found some old burned CDs in the car. They were from college and I cannot believe I enjoyed those songs. You can tell John was thrilled to reminisce. 
The boys were set.
And were great in the car there and back.
The only problem with going to the beach mid-September is that it is football season. We got there just in time to cheer on our Rebs.
Gotta run to the beach when you get there.
Mason and Brinkley had a great time together. I thought they may get sick of each other by the end of the week, but they were still "best friend cousins" when we left. =)
Brody loved the sand.
And the pool.
A family tradition: pizza night the first night. I love that Ashley and I grew up doing this together and our kiddos got to do the same thing.

Brody ran up to everyone asking to put on his puddle jumper. John caved. This picture was taken at 7am, so he wore it ALL morning.
All Brody wanted to do at the beginning of the trip, jump into the water. My arms were sore the second day.

We stayed at the best condo. The main pool was huge with a big section for kids. Right next to that was a splash pad as well as a kiddie pool with a big mushroom shooting out water. It could not have been more perfect.
The kids loved the splash pad. I did too...neither kid could drown playing there. =)

The waves were a little rough. Brody wanted us to just let him swim and Mason wanted to boogie board. I really was nervous out there and felt accomplished we all made it out alive. 
Brinkley came down and we all built a sand castle.

We went to Crab Trap this night and just like every other night, got a table right away.

Another day in paradise. Brody is a tad thicker than Mason...

Brody got sick day 2. He just had a low grade fever virus but the sun brought out a rash. By the end of each day, it would be pretty bad. He didn't feel terrible, just very winey and only wanted me. 
Poor BroBro.

Pictures were a tad difficult.
But I made us take a million each time. No worries.
So thankful to get to spend a week with my loving parents.

We stopped by a fun gift shop after dinner. Mason saw the shark and just had to stop. 
There was even a pirate ship.
John took one for the team and held Brody up there.

Oh yea know, up at 5am every morning once he got sick. Just eating powdered sugar donuts before the sun was up.
Since we were up so early, my Mom and I took the boys down for a stroll on the beach.
The sun was shining on the water and it made for some great pictures. 
What a nerd. =)

Mason took a nap, so we took Brody down there by himself. I think he enjoyed it.

But then we found a spot of about five HUGE crabs. One even crawled on Ashley's leg.

These two got to eat lunch every day together and loved it.

We headed to LuLu's for dinner which is always fun.

We fed the fish until all the birds came flying around. For some reason, they didn't want birds flying in their restaurant so we had to stop.
If you are wondering, Brody is trying as hard as he can to climb that tree.
We took Mickey Mouse out to show her the crabs. Mason was still a little apprehensive but pulled through. =)
