We went to the Lion King Sunday night with John's family: Mr. Larry, Mrs. Judy, Grandma Reba, Robert, Becca, Reese, and John, Mason, and myself. It was our Christmas gift and we have been looking forward to it ever since!
Mason got a new outfit for the big event. (his legs were getting too long for his other dress pants - he is one growing boy)
We all had a nice dinner together and then headed downtown.
I had been trying to explain to Mason the difference between a movie and a play. He really couldn't comprehend it until the show started.
Mrs. Judy picked out seats on the floor with two aisle seats. The animals come down the aisle multiple times so it was perfect. It couldn't have been better. Mason kept repeating, "This is so awesome".
The hyenas made their way down the aisle at one point and found Mason. They stopped and laughed right in his face. He loved it. That kid does not get scared. I would have been crying at that age.
It was a perfect night!
Mason had a busy couple of days because Monday was Dr. Suess' birthday. CTK celebrated by dressing up with anything Dr. Suess related. We chose Cat in the Hat.
Brody did not like not being the center of attention. He hates pictures, but still grabbed that hat and smiled.
Mason had a blast at school. Apparently, multiple teachers told him he looked handsome. He has begged me every morning since to wear that bow tie so he can look handsome.
Its a tough life...
