We enjoyed the fall like weather we got last week. Lots of playing outside for us.
Brody thinks he is big chasing the older boys around the neighborhood.
Mason and I having some quality convos on the walk to school.
I also got to spend some time with Ashley and this cute little thing. He may have even smiled at me a bit.
Friday night we decided to venture out into the world of high school football. I think John was itching for the season to start, so why not support our local high school. Although, seeing we went to one of their rival schools....it was a little difficult to do. Ha.
I definitely didn't remember how crowded these games can be. We waited over 30 minutes in line for a ticket...and then had no where to sit!
They were happy to finally get into the stadium after that long line....and of course to eat the airheads I had promised them. We were so happy Reese got to come along. Mason and Brody just adore her.
Friday Night Lights.
John was working hard on getting Mason interested in the game, but he really just wanted to play. =)
They definitely ran all their energy out. They played tag for at least an hour.
After halftime we found some better seats to sit in. After weaving in and out of people to get to the seats, this one decided he needed to pee. =)
But really, we had the best time. I see more Dragon games in our future.
Saturday night we helped host a baby shower for Patrick and Stephanie.
It was a beautiful night with friends.
We finally tried out the new Whole Foods in Germantown. It is Mason approved.
And Brody loved the donuts....because who doesn't love donuts for lunch?!
Sunday afternoon was the day John was going to take the training wheels off Mason's bike. They started with his big bike, but we finally decided it was just a tad too big to try first.
John was sprinting up a storm next to him.
We decided to switch to his smaller bike but needed air in the tires first.
Much better.
Someone wasn't happy they weren't getting all the attention.
I know this is blurry but you can still see John's fist pumps.
He was proud of the battle wounds. He did NOT want to come back inside. He was determined to ride this thing. He did great the first day.
But the second day was the day.
He just took off.
He tried and tried until he was able to start it without his Daddy's help.
Pure determination there. Apparently when he wants something, he is going to put his mind to it. We were so proud of him.
Now if we can ever get Brody to pedal his tricycle He would rather walk it with his feet....
