Memorial Day Weekend

We had a fun night last week when Kaden got to eat dinner and play for a couple of hours.

We even broke out Monopoly, Jr.

This past Friday was the last day of school.  It was a half day, so even better!
I cannot believe this year is already over.

Race car driver for 3 years and going strong.
The boy has aspirations.

Look how much he grew!

This is how Brody felt about taking a picture....

Brody's teacher did a huge book of everything they did this year.  It really was amazing.
She took measurements at the beginning and end of the year.
Brody grew 3.25 inches and gained 5 lbs since August!

He turned into a big boy and now wants to be Batman.

Walking to school the very last time his Kindergarten year.

Waiting to pick up Bubba....and realized we had the same outfit on.

School's out for the summer!!!

After school buddies.
A lot of playing on the playground goes on with these three plus one more who isn't pictured.

Mason choose BWW for lunch.

Neighborhood fun after school.

While all this fun was happening at home, John was catching marlin in the Bahamas.  It was a "work" trip but trust me, they just had a ton of fun.  From fishing to island hopping....Im not sure much work was done.  Here is the ariel view of them catching the fish.

We got to see Brinkley Saturday morning.
Brody found a worm....they all held it.

Best buds.

Thankfully, with John being out of town the entire Holiday weekend, Robert and Becca let us invade their house.  We went swimming Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.  By the end of the weekend, Brody pretty much thought it was his pool also.

Shark in the pool!

This dude LOVES to swim.

Cannon ball contest.
Water was cold on Saturday but the kids didn't mind one bit.

We had a busy calendar.
We left the pool and all headed straight to the Salentine's for their annual crawfish party.

The kids were drawn to the live crawfish....the entire night.
It was like a pool of babysitters.

Well, until someone got pinched...can't hold onto one too long.

The three helpers.

Sunday was a day of more swimming but we added sweet Millie Drew to the fun.

We had Ben and Melissa's gender reveal party that night.  The boys wanted their picture next to our new basketball goal....more about that coming up.

Can't wait to find out....I was anticipating a girl.

But it's a BOY!!!

So excited for them!!!

These guys were happy it's a boy!
More fun to the group.

We were exhausted and got pizza for dinner.
And made mustaches out of the bread sticks.

Memorial Day fun.

Brody loves to jump in but 90% of the time it is a pretty big belly flop....

This about sums up our weekend...
Too.  Much.  Fun.

It was a great weekend, but would've been even more fun if Dad had been home.
He got home Monday afternoon and I had one little boy (really, two but Brody was asleep) who could not wait for him to get home!

It was even more exciting because Mickey Mouse and Pops got John a basketball goal for his birthday.  John never wants a thing but had been talking about getting a goal since our neighbors got one.  We surprised him and had it put together when he got home from his trip.

Mason has played on it everyday it's been up.

John was super excited.
Now I'm gonna have to amp up my game...
