First Baseball Game

Last Friday I surprised Mason with lunch at school.  He was pretty happy.  He may have been even more excited than eating with me to be able to eat with his two friends behind us.  

We decided to go to Costco Saturday after our first game was cancelled. 

As you can see, the boys were thrilled...

But they quickly remembered they had snacks.

Sunday morning before church.  

We had two boys excited to be wearing shorts. 

We have found a church home that has been a great fit for us.  We started going before Christmas, and it gets better each week.  We know several people from school, so the kids LOVE going.  It has been so easy to want to go every Sunday (which had been a struggle with our last church).  We miss it if we can't be there.  Its just feels perfect.

We thought they were both asleep last Saturday night until Brody walked into our room at 10:45 and busted himself out.  John and I were already asleep FYI.  He had somehow managed to sneak his brother's iPad into his room.....

But it didn't stop us from enjoying the beautiful weather outside.

One night this week (they are all jumbled together), we attempted a family run/bike ride.  Brody found out he was a lot little slower than Mason and wasn't happy.  

Brody is excited about his PreK Graduation coming up.  Couldn't wait to turn in his baby picture and show his friends.  He is actually not going to be starting Kindergarten since his birthday is so late.  We are putting him into a great 5K/Transitional program at a local church to give him another year to catch up.  So I guess he gets to graduate PreK twice!

The rain held off and the Yankees finally had their first baseball game. 

This guy was super excited. 

We had a little batting practice at home and Brody got in the rotation.  The kid can hit the ball for sure with coach pitch.  After hitting almost every single ball thrown (and I mean good, solid hits to the neighbors' house), he threw his bat down and said, "Sign me up!"

No idea how he knew to stand there like this, but he looks like a legit baseball player. 

John is one of the coaches and is loving it.  One of Mason's friends asked his mom at one of the practices, "Why does Mason's Dad look like a teenager?"  It was hilarious.
