Browers in Town

Brody played in the Youth Rangers Ballpark for a one day tournament last Saturday.  Even better than that, his cousins were coming in town and going to see him play.  He was sooooo excited.

                                                                The BEST of friends.

They won the first game and got to hang out all day waiting for the next.

And look who got there in between games??!

They won the second too game which put them in the championship game.

Which also meant we had to wait for another game to be played before ours could start.  It was hot day, so the Moms decided to have one drink at Texas Live in between.

Beth couldn't make it so we had to photoshop her in. Ha.

Before the championship game, they sing the National Anthem.

Big bro cheering him on.

                                                            And they won the tournament.

                                                                Fun, yet long, day!

We went over to one of the restaurants near Texas Live.  We ate and watched the Ole Miss/Bama game.  It was actually a good game!

And the kids were able to stretch out and play!

                                                        We slept in Sunday morning.

And then off to the stockyards.

Next up was the famous Joe T Garcia's.  Long wait line but manageable with margaritas and waters...and phones.   It was a HOT day.

Not diggin' the cheese dip....I mean queso.

The kids had pizza that night and the big kids went to Reata for dinner on the rooftop.
We love that place and it was a beautiful night for it!

Our boys skipped school Monday and we had one more fun day ahead.
We did the morning/afternoon at Top Golf which was super fun.

While we were at Top Golf, we checked out the ticket prices for the NLCS game that was in town.  Braves/Dodgers were here for Game 1.  It was the first MLB game with fans since Covid and the very first MLB game in the new TX Rangers stadium.  I mean, why not go?!?!

                                                            The stadium is awesome.

We sat up really high....

Which means it was REALLY loud.

We enjoyed the new Covid protocol.  Only 11,000 fans in the stadium so it felt empty.  Lines were short, we parked right in front of the stadium. and NO ONE was around you.
I could get used to that!

Ice cream is still expensive though.  Ha

                                                                        They loved it!

Well, I would say we all loved it.

It was SUCH a fun weekend!  We were sad to say goodbye.
So glad we were able to cram in a bunch of exciting things.  It was a fun fun visit!
