We got back in town from FL and thirty minutes later, Mickey Mouse and Pops arrived.
They watched the boys while I worked the next two days. Of course they were spoiled with donuts for breakfast and whatever they wanted for lunch!
Mason's teacher sent him a sweet note on Spring Break.
We picked our brackets for March Madness and Brody is ALL IN.
Even when his bracket is busted on Day 1.
Unfortunately, we missed game 1 where he was the starting pitcher and did AMAZING. Mom and Dad were able to see though! Here he is hitting off of his school friend, Landon on the other team.
After he scored.
Back to fun: funnel cake at a cold baseball game at 9am.
Watching big bro
We went to our new favorite restaurant, Horizon 76.
Nothing like chicken and waffles with some s'mores.
This may all look like fun so let me throw in some unfun things.
Remember that awful winter storm? Yeah, it killed all the landscaping in TX. Super fun.
Dad was clearly here for the food. Ha.
It was so windy!
We were able to get to the end of Mason's game.
Here he is on second.
We were playing a GOOD team and winning until the very end. A couple of errors and they tied it up. We had to do a CA tie breaker which is SOOOO stressful. They put my sweet little child in to pitch and it just wasn't a good situation. They hit a swinging bunt and nothing anyone could do about it. They tied it up and then Mason walked a batter in to lose the game. IT WAS AWFUL. We were super sad for him and John felt awful he threw him out there.
Mason was super upset, but he got over it quickly. He should be proud that his coaches and team thought he was the best person to put in there to pitch. He was been AMAZING all year and he was the person for the job. We just lost. We can't always protect our kids from defeat and sometimes its cool to see how well they overcome it. Spoiler Alert: he pitched amazing the next time he got on the mound.
Little brothers watching.
John has done so well with Mason and pithing, Brody is up next!
We were back at it this weekend.
Brody had league play Saturday and Sunday and Mason was in a tournament.
Grandma text me this picture of Gpa and Griff watching Mason's at bat between their games back home.
I did get this fun picture of one of his teammates after hitting it over the fence.
They were playing in a 12U AA tournament and Mason started the first game.
And boy was he awesome. He pitched two innings, 20 pitches, 3 strikeouts, 6 up - 6 down, no hits or runs. They had to pull him after his two innings so he would be allowed to pitch Sunday. Happy I was able to watch on GameChanger.
And he was happy to get the W.
Ready for a fun Sunday of ball.
Brody and I were able to go to game 1.
They got the win and were headed to the championship game.
Happy after Game 1.
They did lose Game 2 but they were ready to bounce back Sunday.
And he was happy to get the W.
He is playing a lot of left field but also third.
Little brothers Mason fielding the bunt (and a little fall after).
Brody and I had to leave for his games and missed it.
Winner winner chicken dinner.
(And thankfully, one of the Mom sent me some pictures.)
Pretty sure he is saying "Let's Go"!
John and Mason were able to get to Brody's last game.
It was a loooong day. Left the house at 10 and home at 9:15 going nonstop BUT I wouldn't change it for the world. It was a GREAT day and those Bags should be proud!!! (Not to mention, Brody's team went 4-0 for the weekend.)
