Orange Beach Vacay 2021

All stars aligned and we were able to go to the beach again this year!  First time to go back to the beach with my parents since living here in TX.  Since the drive is much longer, we decided to leave Friday morning and head to New Orleans.

We ate at ALL THE PLACES.

                                                                We checked out Bourbon.

                                                                    And even got beads.

                                                                    We saw Jackson Square.

And ate beignets.

We saw the MS river and a riverboat happened to be taking off.

We got good sleep and woke up to eat more good food.

And then checked out the WWII Museum!

Riding on the train getting our veteran's dog tags.
It was a pretty great museum and all four of us enjoyed it.

Then we were off to Orange Beach.  It is 3 hours away from Nola but much further on Saturday the weekend of the 4th when everyone in the world is checking in.  Oh, and a Luke Combs concert.  It took us almost 8 hours.....

So....we could see where it was headed and we stopped in Pass Christian for a fun lunch overlooking the beach!

But we made it and were there for a week!
Sunday was the Fourth of July.

It would be cloudy and then the hot sun would come out.
We actually got a great mix of shade and sun!

Water was super brown at the beginning of the week because of all the rain.
It continued to improve as the week went on!

STOP GROWING

The boys made friends the entire week and just ran all over that place.
They are growing up and it is a little sad.

BBQ on the patio for the Fourth.

We saw some great firework shows.

The condo had a lazy river and this slide.
We spent a TON of time there as the water was pretty rough.  It wasn't too shabby!

Snuck out for a breakfast date.

And brought back a giant snail to show the boys.

Dad enjoying the beach......

He was very excited about the best shrimp!

Restaurants are getting better about adding some activities!

Found more snails!!

Made sure we had enough snacks if it rained all week.  Ha.

Rain went away this day and then we went back out to the beach!

Brody playing with his new friends.

And Mason with friends.

Another pretty day.

But still no getting in the water.  Rip tides.
We saw a Dad and son have to be rescued from the water.  It was scary.

Dinner at Doc's.

And I made everyone do the worst thing ever.....take pictures.  Ha

Love this one!

Gotten so tan.  Ran out to the beach before Mason was awake.

Just hoping for an ER visit.

Burgers with Mickey Mouse and Pops while Mom and Dad had a date night.

                                                                Water was so much clearer!

Only issue was the jellyfish.....the stung.

We ended the day early and played mini golf and rode go karts.

They were both tall enough to drive.

We ended vacay at the Gulf which is always fun...even if it starts raining. Ha

                                                               It was a gorgeous sunset.

How pretty is that lazy river at night?!
We wore that lazy river out that week!

It was a SUPER relaxing week at the beach.  I think everyone enjoyed it!!

                                                                    It was much needed!!!
