Summer Fun, Brody is NINE, and a Girls Trip

Maso upgraded his sunglasses to some Sutros.

                                                            Brody got the Pit Vipers.

Took the boys to Hawaiian Falls and found some friends!

The boys have been to Frios a few times with the neighbors on the days I work.

                                                               They have become regulars.

We had an 80's these bunco night.

It was a BLAST for sure.

The boys finally got to go to the movies again to see the new Space Jam.
John and I had a date night while our friends entertained them!

And they had missed it so much that we went back the next night and took our neighbor.
                                                             It was so much fun.

This was after we swam all day too.

                                                        Boys eating a summer lunch.

Brody turned NINE years old which is crazy to me!
Instead of a party, we decided to go to the Gaylord for a night and enjoy the waterpark.

We ate a TON.

And always enjoy the waterpark.

And the beverages.

What a lucky kid.

They didn't win the hula hoop contest but did not get last!

                                                                    Water balloon toss.

                                                                  We came home and chilled....

The boys had baseball camp with the high school last week.  They loved every single minute of it.  Brody had his entire team there, Mason had lots of school friends and two teammates.

After learning that several of Mason's friends was doing KHS football camp in the evening, he wanted to sign up too.  That kid was WORN out after doing two camps a day.  His whole body was sore but he loved every minute of it.  He LOVED playing baseball with his friends for fun.  Loved it!

We got Brody a new bike for his birthday.

                                                                And saw a pretty sunset.

Last night as a (tan) eight year old.

Donuts for the birthday boy before baseball camp.

Brody's sweet team all swam that day after camp and celebrated his birthday (while I worked).  So basically, my friends threw Brody a birthday party for me!  Ha.  I did run a birthday cake by but goodness, what great friends we have!

The kid had the VERY best day!

He got to open presents and was so excited to get a fishing pole from Grandma and Grandpa.
We are going to practice at the creek before Rocker B this fall!

And a new Hoverboard from Mickey Mouse and Pops.

They gave an MVP award at the end of camp and Brody won it for third grade.

                                                            Jack with his favorites!

I had a girls trap planned for this past weekend.
We were celebrating my friend's 40th.  She did not know where we were going or what the plans were!

                                                                    We had a blast!
We had such a nice dinner Friday night before hitting the bars where we were unbelievably old!  Ha

We stayed at the Fairmont in Austin which has a fun rooftop pool.
We rented a cabana for the day which overlooked Austin.  It was wonderful!

Found some chairs to relax in before it got a little crazy.

We got fun, matching shirts (and cups)

After a day at the pool, we got ready to get some Mexican food off 6th Street.  It was delicious but we are old and we were tired.  We walked back to the hotel, took a pic or two, put on our jammies, and had girl time in the hotel room.  It was my kind of night!

We woke up refreshed on Sunday, grabbed coffee, and went shopping in the funnest area.  Lots of local, weird shops.  We bought all kinds of gifts, grabbed pizza, and then headed home.

It was the perfect trip with good friends!!
Vacations are over and now time to get ready for school to start soon!
