Weekend of Football and Festivals

Boys Scouts came to Mason's school, and boy are they smart.  They met with all the boys and told them they were going to go kayaking, shoot bb guns and bow and arrows, and camp.  You can imagine the excitement when Mason asked if we could go to the information meeting for parents.

As you can imagine, we went to the meeting.
We joined Pack 331 with his best friend, and they can't wait for their first meeting.

More napkin art.
Their friends are making requests now...

Football Friday in the Brower house.

Brody's school celebrated Grandparents Day on Friday.
He was so surprised.

After work/school, I was making Grove food and had hot sauce out.  John bet Mason $5 he wouldn't eat a dollop of it...well the boy did, and he got five bucks.

We played Woffard for the first home game of the year, and we had two excited boys.

Mason leading Brody to the Grove.

They quickly made themselves right at home.

After food, they were ready for the bounce houses.
They certainly did not forget about them.

The kid zone felt like it was about 5 miles away.  It was also in the direct sunlight.
But they had a blast.

Poor Brody was yelling "Hey, there's the bear!"  But as soon as Rebel tried to give him a hug or high five, the child was not having any part of it.  It must have been the worst internal conflict ever!  He wanted his picture taken but didn't want to stand next to him.  Ha.

They both did so well with the baseball game.

The Rebel came to cheer on Brody.

Thankfully, the opened the basketball arena and we cold off in there before our hike back to the tents.

So much fun.
(Brody was too hot.  We had to take off a layer.)

Mason got to wear the cape again.

LOVE the bowled in stadium.

It looked like a storm was rolling in around the half.  The boys were tired, and we decided to leave.  There ended up being a 20 minute lightening delay but never rained.

Got in a couple more throws.

We decided to keep the fun going (or exhaustion) and headed to the
Germantown Festival Sunday afternoon.

We rode plenty of rides.

(I mean how high are Mason and Reese here?!)

We definitely enjoyed snacks.

These two have seen a couple of Gtown Festivals.

I mean how little are these two?!!

Brobro really enjoyed his chocolate ice-cream...

Two full days in a row is just too much....

Brody has started homework also.
It's the real deal.

Football Time

I got to meet sweet baby Ella Saturday morning.
She is the sweetest, loudest little thing in the world. =)

We had friends over Saturday afternoon to watch some football.  It is always more fun when Mr. Jake is there to play with.  (he is holding all three boys and their weapons)  You can imagine the giggles.

He made three forever friends fast.

Claire didn't know what to think!

These two and their spy gear.

We went to Mom and Dad's on Sunday for burgers and fun.  I will say, it was a different type of fun since their tv and internet were out.  But it was so fun.  John read the paper, we all (including Darlene and Mrs. Peggy) played hide and seek, and we actually spoke to each other.

Mason noticed his tooth was very loose and started wiggling it.  I wasn't sure how he would do, but he laughed every time we attempted to pull it.  No tears.  Big guy.

Labor Day picture fun.

Emma got in on some snapchat fun.

Monday was finally Ole Miss' game day.  Finally.
We played Florida State in Orlando.
The Mouse himself was rooting for Ole Miss.

And right before the game started, someone lose his first tooth!

He decided to eat an apple.  It made it a little sore, so we decided to pop it on out.
Dentist Crissy helped.

Little Brother was amazed.
He keeps saying "Momma, I think my toof is woggling".

 Hotty Toddy.
The game started out amazing....but then they forgot there was a second half.  So sad.  But hey, it was one of the best teams in the country.  Can't win them all!

Pulled out the tooth fairy pillow I bought years ago.  He was so excited to see what she would bring.  He was hoping it was more then 50 cents but really shooting for $100.  Ha.

She brought him a five dollar bill.
He is ready to go to Toys R Us now.

 This kid loves playing outside.
He doesn't care if he is alone or with friends!

Memphis has a fun thing going on these days.  There is a FB group called 901 Rocks.  You paint fun rocks and hide them for other kids to find.  You can either re-hide them or keep for yourself.  Mason was so happy to find our first rocks at school.  We are going to hide them again this afternoon!

Pebble Beach and Life

Brody has started taking speech.  He had been going to Jana Hacker for about three weeks, but then got into Collierville's public school system.  This was our last visit (at least for now) at private speech.  You can see he enjoys going!

Mason had a great week at school last week and got to pick dinner.
Chinese for the fortune cookies win.

They were begging us to let them sleep in Mason's room.
How sweet was this Saturday morning?!?!

Working on our soccer skills.

Just a normal day around here...

Brody was VERY excited to start speech at Bubba's school.  He gets to walk with them on Monday and Wednesday mornings.  Speech is from 9-9:30, and then he goes to his school.

Thankful for our awesome Mickey Mouse that takes him!

Homework is a little different in 2016...

Brody got to decorate his speech folder for homework.

No one tells you about all the anxiety as your child gets older!!  Waiting for Mason's grades to pull up killed me.  But so thankful he is doing so well with his schoolwork!

John was out of town this week.  He was able to go to Pebble Beach to play golf for work.  The boys were so great all week.  They even watched football with me last night.

Mason didn't have the best week in school regarding conduct.  If you ask me, he is just a 6 year old boy, but his teacher thought otherwise.  He has been so wonderful ever since and tried so hard to be perfect at school.  He has also learned, some teachers are more strict than others and regardless, we have to respect that.

The poor guy has been so nervous each day (that he doesn't pull another clip this week) so I have been sending notes in his lunch.  I don't really know how much he likes them, but they make me laugh every time.  =)

Meanwhile, John has been in California where the weather is perfect!  70 and sunny.
This is the famous tree on the Pebble Beach logo.

I mean how beautiful is this?!?!

He said it was a wonderful few days and so thankful for the opportunity.

But I know two boys who were so happy to have him home.

But only one was happy to take a football Friday picture!

Yay for a long weekend.

We had Mexican with Ben and Melissa tonight.
That's as much excitement as we've seen in a while on a Friday night.
And we even ended it with ice cream!!!

We are getting wild over here waiting on Ole Miss football to start!
