Such a Fun Weekend

We had a great time at the Tyler and Beth's shower Friday night.  We woke up bright and early Saturday morning to start cooking and get ready for Mason's trip to the Grove.  He had such a great time!  My mom had never been to tailgate at Ole Miss so she got to come along and fortunately for us, help with Mason.  =)

Mason did sooooooo well.  I think he could easily do the Grove or the game each week.  It is just hard on the little guy to do both when you tailgate for 5-6 hours!  We decided that they would go on home at game time because he was pretty exhausted by then from all of his running around.   He slept the whole ride home.

So cute in his jersey.

Throwing the football in our tent.

He got choked up on his water, so him and Mom were holding their hands up!

The spread of food.

He flirted with the pretty girls the ENTIRE time!

such a ladies' man!!!!

he absolutely LOVED the band playing!

We saw Sean and Lisa in the Grove

Thanks Mom!!!!!  You are the BEST!!!  Hope you loved it as much as we do!

Parents of a 2 year old.  =)

Who wouldn't love this???

We at this point we were winning....don't ask what happened next!

The boys

Our tents at night.

It was a very long day.  And then we had to prepare for a 2nd birthday party today.  I will post pictures of the party tomorrow!

Early Bday Present

***I tried to post this so many times yesterday but it wouldn't let me.  It finally worked this morning!*********

We have a big weekend planned! John and I are going to a shower tonight for our friends, the game ALL day tomorrow, and then the Little Man's 2nd birthday on Sunday! I'm already exhausted thinking about it but of course can't wait! :)

My wonderful Aunt and Uncle from Hot Springs sent Mason a birthday gift. We decided to let him go on and open it and he was so excited!

He just loved it. So sweet. The monkey's name was Mason and he also brought all this candy! It could keep him up for days! :)

5k, Pumpkins, and a Birthday!

I ran in the LeBonheur Pumpkin 5k Run Saturday morning.  John and Mason came to cheer us on.

There were about seven of us that ran, but this is the only picture I have after the race.  We look just wonderful but oh well.  (Mason also had just dumped all of his water on me)  =)  This is Blake, myself, and Becca.

Mason eating some crackers.  Watching all those runners made him a little hungry.

All three of us.  =)

Saturday night, we went to Robert and Becca's house to watch the UT game.  Mason thought we went just for him to get to play with Reese.  =)  He gets so excited!

Once we got home after the game...we were out like a light!  It was a loooong day.

Sunday we went to pick out some pumpkins.  Here is Mason looking for the perfect one...

So many to choose from!

He wanted to carry it all by himself but it was a little heavy.  We ended up having to help him.

We got with three pumpkins.  Hopefully soon we will get to carve them!  I think we are going to try to get to Cedar Hill Farm's Pumpkin Patch though before Halloween.

This afternoon we had a very important little girl's SECOND birthday!  I can't believe Brinkley is 2!  It was a Minnie Mouse themed party.   Tons of yummy food and Mason had so much fun playing with all the kids.

Opening presents.

She was really getting into it.

I had to take a picture of Mason's cute little Tom's.  I just love them.  =)

Waiting very patiently for her mommy to open up her gift.

He let me put his ears on for one second.

About to sing Happy Birthday to her.

Blowing out the candles.

Pops feeding Mason birthday cake...his favorite.

Rachel and Baby Noah came!  He LOVED the dancing Elmo.  I mean, seriously, he loved him.

The lighting is terrible in this picture but she wanted to sit in John's lap and I thought it was cute.

Happy birthday sweet Brinkley!  We love you!

Almost 2

I can't believe in just 12 days our sweet little baby will be 2 years old.  The time has just flown by.  He talks in sentences now, runs around like a mad man, and has a mind of his own.  But he can be just the sweetest little guy ever.  (when he wants to be! =)  )

We had another great weekend. This one was even better because Ole Miss won! Can you believe it!?! I couldn't!

Friday night we did nothing. Mason played until he was ready for bed. Saturday we watched some football and then got ready for Mamaw's 92nd birthday party. We had a cookout with some good food and of course birthday cake.

Mason also enjoyed a very sticky ring pop. :) But he loved it. John and I had a couple's shower that night also for our friends Beth and Tyler. We had such a good time and they even had mustaches you could put on!  We all hung out after watching the football game and just catching up.  We are so blessed to have so many good friends in our lives.

The groom to be himself.

Sunday was a day of rest and football.

Hope everyone has a good week!
