Our school had picture day last week. Tuesdays, Mason goes to choir until 4, Brody and I pick him up and head straight to hitting lessons. Nothing like baseball in a collared shirt. Completely forgot.
Mom sent some goodies in a box. We had a couple of excited boys.
The birthday boy turned 10 on Wednesday. We did as much as we could leading up to his birthday, but he had school and baseball practice. I work Wednesdays also, so he had to go to our neighbors house after school. Not what I would've picked out for his actual birthday, but life happened!
He did choose steak the night before for dinner.

So proud of this kiddo every single day. He is smart, funny, caring, sensitive, silly, and the MOST honest person in the world. We are lucky to be his parents! Cant believe he's been hanging around John and I for the past ten years. =)
No lunch date for me since I was working, but good ole' Dad brought both boys lunch. Mason didn't want a picture with him, so he took one of him by himself. Ha
AND my friend (and neighbor) took all four kiddos to get milkshakes after school to celebrate, because she is awesome.
We all went to his baseball practice and then grabbed dinner at his choice, Rosa's Cafe. We invited one his friends and Moms and then called it a night!
Friday, I had to go to a CE course with the other two hygienists at my office.
At least I had coffee and candy.
But that also meant I missed the fun run at school. Both boys totally okayed it before I booked the CE course. But I still hated to miss it.
Thankfully, one of my friends took a few!
I didn't have any pictures of Mason, but there certainly wasn't as many parents there for 4th graders! Mason and his friends thought it was "boring". But what was even more fun was that Grandma, Grandpa, and Grandma Reba all came in town and brought lunch for both of them and they saw Brody's fun run that afternoon! (Mason's was in the morning)
And EVEN cooler, their school is doing a new "Golden Starbuck". You can get a golden one for VERY good behavior. They are extremely hard to come by and a big deal. If you get one, you get to be acknowledged on the morning announcements and the principal calls your parents. On fun run day, Brody had a zero talking level when everyone else (including his friends) was being silly and not listening to the 1st grade teachers. (It was the first one rewarded this school year too!) They awarded him with it, and no one could believe it....especially his brother and the other 4th graders. He got to be on morning announcements yesterday and everyone has been talking about it. Mason said he was proud. =)
John left the office a bit early Friday and we decided to catch the train by our house to Grapevine Main Street. I have been wanting to take it for a while now. It is new and super clean. We really enjoyed it! John will probably take it next time he goes to the airport.

We first stopped at Messina Hof for wine tastings. We love going there before dinner. We had a great time, and the kids had their own little area back there.
Then we went to dinner at the Mexican restaurant down there. It is so good.
After dinner, we strolled Main street before jumping back on the train.
Saturday was a day of baseball. Mason had a one day tourney in Joshua. He played well at short stop, had lots of outs. They didn't have the best day and were playing in a tough tourney.
Brody watched all the games.

Brody did the scoreboard the second game.
And John was the first base coach.
Brody had games later that night from 6-9pm.
They wore pink socks to support breast cancer.
It was such a pretty night!
AND his teacher came to cheer him on!
And Brody's best friend's twin brother is in his class too and just so happens to play on his baseball team. So she got to see two kiddos!

Sunday afternoon, we went downtown to Sundance Square and ate at Razoo's on the patio.
Weather was perfect.
After we ate wayyyyy too much food, so we walked around downtown after. We saw the JKF monument in Ft. Worth and then headed to the Water Gardens.
These three didn't walk down.
And thankfully, we got on the trolley instead of walking back to the car! Ha.
It was such a fun weekend. We saw tons of baseball and ate lots of good food.
And all the girls had a good weekend too!
