A Long Weekend

We are still playing baseball around here, but it is quickly coming to an end.
Love the beautiful night sky.

Getting a little chilly in the mornings, hoodie time.

This is the only picture I got of us at Spring Creek BBQ for spirit night.
But it is one of our favorite nights of the school year!

Mason had a field trip last week.  If you are wondering why he isn't taking off his hoodie, it is because his mother forgot it was field day and did not have him wear his shirt.  In my defense, the teachers gave us ZERO reminder email about it and we paid 6 wks ago.  But you can also notice.....noone else forgot!  Just me.

Regardless, he had a blast.  They went to Univ. of North Texas and studied all things outdoors.  They found tadpoles and fish, they found all types of trees/leaves, and just had a blast.

The weather took a turn and it got COLD all of a sudden.
Forced these guys into pants and they were not happy.

This child wakes up every morning and wants to rewatch his baseball games on Gamechanger....

Mason had a baseball tournament in Melissa which is over an hour away. They drew the (very) late games so we decided to get a hotel room in McKinney/Allen.  They always love a good hotel room like their Momma.

Nothing like watching football outside by the pool.  It was too cold to swim but actually a nice day finally because the sun came out.

But we didn't play until 6:30 and the games were delayed by an hour.
So it was cooooold during games.

They fought hard but didn't win.  We didn't get out of there until 11:15pm....so glad we got a room!

And then unfortunately, we had to be back up there at 7:00am.  Yikes.
And it was real cold then!

Mason had a good day.  A couple of outs, a walk, and a single that was crucial in scoring a couple of runs.  We were winning the whole game until the last inning.  So sad.

But is was just an exhausting weekend!

It is Red Ribbon week here. Neither of my kids are interested in dressing up, but Brody did decide to start a new trend with those socks and leggings....

We got Boo'ed!

Brodys team's season was pushed back one more week.  Talk about dedication....it was freezing and raining and we were the only people out there!

I had to defrost my toes in his bath water....

And it is still cold.  44 degrees and raining all day yesterday and today.  Although, Mason came out of school with no hoodie on!

Refusing to turn on the heater....
