Judy and Larry took us to the Polar Express Train Ride last weekend. It starts in Batesville and picks up Santa and elves in Grenada The North Pole. We had never been and were all excited to go!
It was all very organized and so much fun. The kids really thought we were in the movie.
Mason and Brody had fallen asleep on the ride down, Brody did not wake up a happy camper....
As soon as the train took off, they started singing the hot chocolate song.
They passed out hot chocolate and sugar cookies. (We also got to keep those fancy mugs.)
The sugar cookies quickly brightened his mood.
So excited to be holding a golden ticket.
She came by and punched holes all in their tickets to make a mess just like the movie.
The North Pole.
Going at night was key, the lights were so exciting to all the adults and kids.
The elves were jumping up and down excited to see the train arrive.
We picked up elves and the Big Man himself and headed back to Batesville.
Santa gave them all jingle bells.
Group pictures are hard!
He touched Santa.
We all had such a great time!
The kids have been telling their friends all week about visiting the North Pole.
(Mason was only concerned that there was no snow.)
Mason's biggest fan at his basketball games.
Hustling.
Score!
We let the boys pick out their own ornaments this year. Brody picked Yoda and Mason picked Kilo Ren. As soon as we got home, Mason accidentally dropped and shattered his. He was so sad, especially since we had told them they would break and we needed to be careful.
Thankfully, Leroy must've gone back to the North Pole and brought one back.
Elf fun.
Mason had his Christmas party at school Thursday. They had several game stations set up and plenty of junk food. Pin the carrot on the snowman.
Christmas Bingo.
And a snowball drop. They had fuzzy cotton balls in a Kleenex box, and you had to shake them out. So funny.
I told the boys to put on their jammies while I was wrapping presents. They come downstairs like this.....10 days before Christmas.
Friday was PJ day at both of their schools. They also both got to watch Polar Express.
Mason only had a half day, so we went on a date to our fav Mexican restaurant.
Brody's school had a Christmas carnival, so we stopped by before leaving. They had several games set up and the kids had a blast.
Painting Christmas ornaments for our tree.
Photo booth fun.
