The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I have had some problems with my pictures on my Mac but once again, Apple saved the day.  I may have been there for three hours on Friday, but whatever works.  I'm still waiting on everything to upload, but it appears life will go on!

Leroy and Michelangelo have returned.
And they brought Christmas pjs.

They were pretty excited and had obviously just woken up here.

We also got out our new Lego Star Wars advent calendar.  The boys are alternating which days to open.  They have done very well sharing I have to say.

Obligatory jammie picture in front of the tree.

Oh BroBro.

The rain postponed the Collierville christmas tree lighting to a Thursday night.  John had bowling, but we still went.  The boys love it.

We met up with some of our favorites which always makes it more fun.

Santa arrived on the square just in time to turn on the lights.

Our elves have been doing crazy things.
Speaking of crazy, check out Brody's crazy-man hair.

We have been pretty festive around here.  We also went to the Collierville Christmas Parade a couple of Fridays ago. People had set up TONS of chairs throughout the day to get a good spot.  I ended up doing the same.  I felt pretty silly, but we did get good seats.

Mason's boy scouts troop was in the parade, so John and Mason didn't sit with us.  Brody was very excited to see his brother.

Turns out, Brody enjoyed the entire thing.  He LOVED the bands and of course the superheroes.  He danced all night long and got to high five Batman himself.  His night was made.

Mason getting ready to start on their float.

Mom and Darlene came as well as Judy and Larry.

They were the second to last float.  Santa was behind them.

We got home and warmed up with some hot chocolate.

Saturday, Brody had a birthday party for a little girl in his class.  Turns out, he was the only boy who showed.  He didn't care at all while they were playing...

But he did finally realize he was the only boy....and boy was he embarrassed!

Our elves have really been cutting up.

Ready for church.

Mason had his first essay/homework due last week.
He did a great job explaining how we celebrate Christmas.

Sunday night we put together gingerbread houses with Reese and A and G.

Brody touched his elf so he didn't move this day.  Honestly, it didn't bother Brody too much.  Ugh.

Mason had his very first basketball game Tuesday night.

There he is playing defense.  It was their first game and no one really knew what was going on, but they did well.  (Those refs are unbelievably patient!!!)  Mason had a blast and loved it.

The elves lit up our tree in the middle of the night with our new Magic Wand.

Brody loves this Rudolph hat.  He sings "Rudolph the reindeer red-nose".
Here's his reindeer face...

Our elves roasting marshmallows over a candle.

Brody had to make a gingerbread disguise at school.
He chose Pikachu and was proud.

Friday was his Christmas party at school.  They were to wear Christmas sweaters.
And this is his Grinch face....he is obviously into faces for pictures these days.

We had so much fun at his Christmas party.  He is showing off his sweater here.

And Santa even stopped by.

Friday nights are going to be basketball nights for the next couple of months.

John and I had a Friendsgivingmas dinner with my girlfriends/husbands.

We are officially grown.  We cooked a nice meal, sat around the table eating and chatting, then moved to the den with a fire, and were all home by 10:30 yawning.  I'm thankful to be grown!

We ran up to the hospital Saturday morning to meet sweet Baby Wells.  He has a ton of hair and is perfect, all 9 pounds 3 ounces of him!

Saturday night sounded like a great night to see Christmas lights around Collierville.
John and I put on our gear (which was later stolen by our kiddos).

Our favorite cove.

Yeah, we don't know these people but we are taking a
picture in front of their house with our house shoes on.

Those elves again...
