Memorial Day weekend looked like it was going to be a wash but ended up being pretty nice. We went to the splash pad for the first time of the year on Saturday. Kids loved it.
Drying off.
Mom got peaches from The Peach Truck and we have been eating them up.
We definitely had a lazy weekend.
Did the American thing and grilled burgers.
Even ate them on the patio.
We went for an evening walk in my parents' new neighborhood. They have a cute little path that leads you to a pond and a playground. They kids loved it.
Normal arm wrestling contest over here....Brody won.
We had the Salentine's annual crawfish party Sunday afternoon.
Brotherly love.
Didn't get bit this year.
John didn't get the American attire memo.
Tried so hard. Too "spicy".
Three best buds.
All the kiddos played a long game of soccer.
Love this.
Mr. Ben had Mason and Reese try a pickled quail egg.
Reese lasted much longer than Mason!
Reese lasted much longer than Mason!
We did some swimming Monday afternoon.
Those kids don't care if that water is cold or not...they just love swimming.
Mason had baseball camp this week with the Collierville High baseball team. He was soooooo excited. It really was the first time we've ever signed him up for a camp where we didn't know anyone going, and we just leave him there.
But he had LOTS of friends from school that had also signed up. And he never seemed concerned about not knowing anyone....that was just me. Ha
But he has talked our ears off every night about what all happened at camp.
He is loving it.
Day 2 he wanted to wear his jersey.
So big.
This sweet boy started summer camp at his school.
He got one of his old teachers and is so happy.
We leave for the beach this weekend and are so excited.
But first we get to celebrate John's birthday!
