Father's Day Weekend

Mason has hitting lessons on Tuesday right in the middle of the day, so I let them grab McDonalds right before lessons.  Talk about happy.  

Brody is always working in the cages while Mason has lessons. 

Since Brody's tournament cancelled last Sunday, his team entered in a Beat the Heat weekday tournament.  Two games last week and then SUPPOSED to have two this week. 

Mason took a ball right to the eye at Wednesdays practice.  We told him he should try to catch it with his glove next time and not his face. =)

He was super tough though and got right back up to practice after it happened.  

Last day of PE camp with Shady Grove.  The camp was from 1-4 Monday - Thursday with their PE teacher.  They LOVED it and saw lots of kiddos from school. 

Thursday night game for Brody. 

They ended up winning both pool play games and were the number 1 seed going into this week.  We had horrible storms come in Sunday that damaged the fields.  We were scheduled to play the semi-final game tonight but tournament was cancelled due to the storms.  They have had bad luck with rainouts but haven't lost a tournament yet.  They ended up winning since they were the #1 seed. 

They stole my rafts Friday at the pool. 

And then we met some friends at Keller Pointe that afternoon. 

They just love the hot tub.  Ha

We started Fathers Day Weekend off early with Friday night food on the patio where the kids could play. 

This is about as bad as his shiner has looked.  Not too bad at all. 

Brody was off last weekend (since they were playing during the week) so we all were able to go to Mason's games.  He played in Frisco Saturday.

The boys did so well.  They tied the first game and won the second.  Mason played and hit well.  

It was fun to watch. 

Brody loves going to his games. 

We all got lunch together in The Colony after at the coolest area of restaurants.  Unfortunately for John, he got pooped on by a bird.  HAHAHA

One of the teammates came over after dinner to swim for a bit.  

We had to get up SUPER early the next morning to be out in Frisco by 7am.....BUT it stormed that night.  Horrible, unexpected storms.  They called the tournament which I totally understood, but it stunk bc they were finally a high seed and were playing so well!  But it was a great confidence booster before the World Series coming up soon!

So instead of baseball all Father's Day, we relaxed a bit.  We took him out to breakfast at our favorite place.  It was cloudy but not rainy, so we took him to Keller Pointe for his first time.  Unfortunately it wasn't the prettiest weather, but he got to see it. 

And all of a sudden, it started pouring rain with all kinds of wind.  We left quickly!  We stayed in the rest of the day and grilled burgers (in the rain) for Father's Day.

He and Mason had a bit of an accident and he now has a black eye.  Lovely. 

We had to check on John's office last night.  Think he needs some decor?!??!

We have LOTS of baseball coming up the next two weeks with visitors coming!  We can't wait and pray the weather holds out for us!!!
