Halloween 2019 and the End of Fall Ball

It was Red Ribbon Week.  And while this boy didn't want to participate much, as the week went on...it grew on him.  This was crazy/mixmatched day.

I had to work Halloween since it fell on a Thursday.  I made them take pictures and make sure they could get on their costumes by themselves the night before.

And here we have a dino and Joey Gallo.

And John and I both had to dress up.  He went as Bob Ross and I was a deer.
(I went with the easiest thing possible while cleaning teeth!)

One of Mason's sweet teachers sent me pictures of both boys at the Story Book Character Parade.

Mason and his bud Carter.  Haha.

Joey Gallo and Dog Man

Brody was also able to turn in his Star Bucks for a lunch date with his teacher.

Meanwhile, my coworker loves all things Halloween and we had a fun party.

I rushed home after work to get everything ready for our Halloween gathering a couple of doors down.  I made this charcuterie board and a couple of other things.

(Mason had his backup costume on in case in dino deflated....it malfunctioned a bit)

Kids had pizza and nuggets while we had chili.
We love Halloween in our hood!

Sangria....

It was a nice day out but got cold once the sun went down.  Kids were able to play outside before trick or treating.

Running into neighbors and friends.

One of our bunco friends does it big on Halloween.  Her husband had a huge dj booth/disco ball set up playing music.  She was passing out popcorn/hot chocolate from a food truck.  And there is a big fire pit going.  The kids walked up and made themselves at home!

It got cold so the fire helped.  It was a very fun Halloween!

We took Brody's friends to and from school the Friday after Halloween.
Good day for it to be pj day!

And they LOVED playing after school!

Friday night called for our fav Mexican.

Mason had baseball games Saturday night and a birthday party at Top Golf right before.  We dropped him off at the party and went to the W. 7th St. area for lunch.

All the while Mason was having a blast at the party.
He said he wasn't very good at it but he loved it!

A 10 year old's dream.

We left there and headed straight to Downtown Dallas for baseball.
It was another late night of games.

#8 is our guy

The little brothers.

John helped all weekend in the dugout.
They were having a chat before Mason went out to hit.

Playing SS.

We played another game Sunday to end the fall season.  It didn't end on a good note, but they did well.  Best part of the weekend was this kid on 2nd barely running into Mason and my child went FLYING.  This is what happens when you play up sometimes.....especially if you are just a little guy!

Super proud of him this season.

We were able to all head over to Flower Mound to watch Brody's last two games of the season.  They had a great day and played so well.  They won both of their games.  Awesome way to end the fall.

This guy has some good eye hand coordination....he has yet to strike out.  He has done well all season and absolutely LOVES playing.

The fun part is 9 of these guys are in 1st grade and have decided to play on the same basketball team.

Baseball may be over for now but it will be back shortly.
Now onto basketball!
