Valentine's Day and Visitors

We were out of school on Valentine's Day so the boys had their class parties on Thursday. I took the day off for the parties and also picked up my parents from the airport that morning.

Another year, more Valentine's boxes.
We have a Patrick Mahomes box and a basketball box.

Pickd them up before the parties and snuck in lunch.

Room Mom duties called.  We went with a Puppy Love theme and the kids adopted a dog.  So cute and they loved it.

Mom was able to come which was fun.  It was also helpful because I have to set up Brody's party while Mason's is going on.

He named his puppy Brody, Jr.  Ha

4th grade combines classes and has the party in the cafeteria.  So much better.  They just played games and had a blast.

Friday we were out of school and it was also Valentine's Day.

Instead of going out to eat, we grilled steaks and had a nice meal together at the house.
(John must have been sleepy here.)

They got to see the boys play basketball Saturday.  Brody's game was first.

They won again and even better, every kid scored!  So fun.

Mason's team pulled out another win.

He played some of friends from his team last year.

Saturday night, John and I went to dinner all by ourselves.  Doesn't happen often anymore.  Ha.
I got to put on real clothes.

These guys got their choice of pizza.

We went to Truluck's which is one of our faves.  It's also a great restaurant to just sit and talk.

It was also time to celebrate John and all of his accomplishments this past year at work.  He has worked hard and deserves to be celebrated.  Moving to TX was a great move for us as a family but also for John and his career.  I am just so proud of him!

Sunday was Mom's birthday.  We decided to get brunch at the Gaylord (which is one of our faves) to start off the day.

We also went and checked out Clearfork shopping center/area.  It is beautiful!!!

We came back home and went to the park. It was almost 80 degrees.
Such a pretty day for a birthday!

We ended the day with dinner and dessert.  Mom went big for her bday.

Happy Birthday!!  We were so happy we got to celebrate with you!

Baseball officially started this week.
Busy busy busy.

And he won the belt for the second week in a row.  They each had one at bat at the end of practice and whoever hit the ball the farthest won....first pitch and it went to the fence.  If only he tried that hard allllll the time.  Haha.
