Our elves have been busy.
My sweet husband tried to help me hang Brody's stocking back up.....
but clearly it is not in the middle!!!
This past Thursday, I went to the Christmas women's dinner at Keystone Church. One of the moms in Mason's class invited me along with a few other moms and teachers. Turns out, Brody's teacher and both of Mason's teachers were there at the same table.
Each table has a "host" who decorates the table. It was so beautiful. She did such a good job.
It was a really fun evening with good food, conversations, and worship.
Our elves started unwrapping gifts.
And roasted marshmallows.
Saturday, we went to the Gaylord to see all the Christmas decor and go snow tubing. We went a couple of years ago to the Nashville one and the kids loved it, so I hoped it would be the same.
It is just so pretty in there.
We were starving and decided to grab brunch at their big buffet. The kids were pretty pumped about the buffet and the food is so good. We talked about trying to do this each year for a fun day.
Since John and I tubed the last time we were there, we let the kids just do it this year.
And of course they had a blast.
Brody wanted to pretend he was "building a snowman".
All kinds of photo ops.
The line for Santa had been long when we first arrived, but we decided to check it out right before we left. No one was in line oddly enough! We just walked right up and sat on his lap.
Of course the Santa was smart and made John and I jump in....made me buy an extra picture! Ha
Saturday was full of Christmas.
We ordered in pizza and watched Home Alone that night.
It. Was. So. Fun.
Sunday morning church time.
And since the Cowboys are on every single Sunday, this is Mason's new routine. Ha.
Emma's birthday was yesterday. The elves got in her bed!
And in BIG NEWS.....Brody lost his first tooth!
It was sooooo loose after eating an apple. He had a hard time eating his cereal at breakfast yesterday! Right before bed he admitted that he could probably pull it himself and he was right. He was really brave and let me yank it out. Pretty sure the medical field isn't calling his name....he hates blood. It is NOT his thing.
But he was so big last night!
Pure joy.
11 Years Old and grumpier than ever. =)
The elves and tooth fairy must have met in the hallways.....
And he just couldn't believe it!
