Knoxville Trip

Last time I blogged we were leaving for Knoxville Friday morning.  Well of course plans don't usually go that smooth...we ended up taking Mason to the doctor Friday morning before we left because of a red toe.  Yep, I said red toe.  I know that is strange (only us) but I had been watching it for a few days and it was spreading.  Turns out the Little Man has Cellulitis on his toe so we needed strong antibiotics.  He seems to be acting like it doesn't bother him, and the medicine appears to be working! =)
After that, off to Knoxville we went!!!!  We rode with Becca and Robert.  Of course we got into a little traffic from a dump truck that had gone off the road (John and I have had BAD trips to Knoxville in the past), but this was the best trip by far!!
We were able to get dinner Friday night at a great sushi place called Nama (I'm pretty sure).  This is the first time EVER that we have done anything on the first night were got there because of the longer drive, so I had to take pictures to prove it!  Ha

Here is Becca and Blake at Downtown Grill and Brewery after dinner.

Us

Catey and Will

We didn't stay out much after dinner because we had a LONG day on Saturday.
Us, Becca and Robert, Jake and Blake, Will and Catey all stayed at the same hotel so it made it much easier.

Saturday morning was gameday!  We all got up and out the hotel doors by 9:00!  The game started at noon.  We headed over to the parking lot for the tailgating to begin!
John and Robert (obviously not too excited about picture time)

I'm sorry UT people but I must post this...just your average UT fan dressed in all that annoying orange! =)

Catey, Will, Blake, and Jake

John and I.  Turns out, it is a little hard to tell with some reds if it is red or orange???  Mine and Catey's shirts could've gone either way.  Oops

Blake, me, and Becka

Will was able to get sky box tickets for him and Catey, Brian and Clair, and John and I and let me just say...AMAZING!!  They had a huge buffet sat up with all kinds of good food from hot dogs to shrimp and grits to a dessert bar including any type of ice cream you have ever had.  (not to mention a fully stocked bar)  =)  Never had tickets like that and probably won't ever again!!!!!  The game did not at all turn out like we had hoped, but at least it was a good time!
THANKS WILL!!!

The view.

I didn't take my big camera in the game so these were all the pictures.  I forgot to get a picture of John and I, but here is one of Brian and Clair.

After watching the entire game where our team gave such poor effort (I will say UT played a good game but this will be the only time I mention that =)    ), we all went back to Vol Navy where Brian and friend's were on an awesome houseboat!

The top deck.

We had such a good weekend!  I can't say it enough.  Hate the we lost, but so worth the trip.

I promise I will post some pictures of my main squeeze tomorrow!  Mason has been having a good time lately (minus the medicine).  He walks EVERYWHERE, no more crawling.  Has a total of 6 teeth (2 are only partially erupted though).  He is exploring everything since he can walk so well.  Hopefully I can loose some weight since we are chasing him!

A Little Bored

We haven't really been doing too much lately.  Once we finished resting up from being sick, daylight saving's kicked us in the behinds!  Mason had a good day today but the last two days were rough for him because of his schedule being off so much.

Here he is in these cute little overalls.

Mason LOVES cheese puffs.  Yesterday (when he wasn't feeling up to par) Mason and his daddy snuck into the cheese puff container before dinner.  I caught them and has to take a couple of pictures.  =)

John and I are going to Knoxville this coming weekend for the Tennessee/Ole Miss football game.  I am sooo excited!  (although the game shouldnt be too exciting...haha)

Sick Family and Halloween!

I meant to post about Halloween before today, but we had an unexpected illness swarm through our house.  We had a great weekend but once Monday rolled around, we were down until today.

Friday night we went to Zoo Boo at the Memphis Zoo with Robert, Becca, and Reese and had a really fun time.  Sunday, we went to my friend Julie's little girl's birthday party.  We had noticed that Mason had a couple of runny diapers but since he acted okay, we thought it was due to teething....

Well about 3 a.m. Monday morning John woke up with the stomach bug.  I seemed okay and texted all of my friends that had been eating ice cream after my child to warn that he could have had the bug.  Well then at about 3 a.m. Monday morning, I woke up with the stomach bug!  Today has been the first day that our whole family has been up to par.  I just hope my good friend Lyndsey has recovered!  We also sent it her way. =(

 pictures, pictures, pictures...

Me and Little Man aka "Dragon" at Zoo Boo

Aunt Becca taking me trick or treating for the first time ever!
 Candy!

our first carousel ride with Aunt Becca and Reese...Mason smiled the whole time!

Reese's cute costume...notice the tail =)

me and Daddy riding the train!

Uncle Robert, Aunt Becca, and Reese riding the train

So there was a "disco dance floor" where all the kids were dancing.  There was even a dj.  Let's just say as soon as a Justin Bieber song came on, my ears were killing me from all the screams!  But Reese ran right up to the front to start dancing! (taking after her mom already!)  =)

and he's out!

On our way to go surprise trick-or-treating at the grandparents houses!

My mom and dad weren't very smart and didn't let anyone know we were coming.  We only got to see Gami and Pops.  We just missed Grandpa and Grandma Brower!  But here we are walking up to their door!

Trick-or treat Gami!  Surprise!

Yay!  Candy again!  (although my mean mommy didn't let me eat any!)

We stopped by The Adams' house!

And we were just preparing them for what will come one day...he tore up their den!

It is almost Friday! =)

Just Us

John had to go out of town for work this week and left Mason and I home alone!  He was so sad to head off to Las Vegas.  Ha

Mason has decided to wake up at least 30 minutes early the last two mornings...what a nice treat for me! =)  But I did notice today that his upper front teeth are finally coming in, so maybe they are bothering him.

After work/daycare, Mason and I have been coming home, eating dinner, and just playing, playing, and more playing.  He had a slight problem with his new race car track and I had to get some pictures.  He was a little confused at first I think...

He decided to sit in the track.  The inside of it actually spins around but his weight wouldn't let it move.  I really think he was more worried about it not spinning than him sitting on it.

 "What in the world Mom?!?!"

I, of course, was laughing, so he took it that he was being funny.

Finally figured out how to slide on out of there.

Here he is this morning.  I loved his cute sweater!  He looked like a little man.

 Eating Cheerios

We are definitely ready for Daddy to be home, but we are having good quality Mommy/Mason time.  Tomorrow night he gets to go to Bunko!!!  (although it will start at his bedtime, but it is at Gami's house so we have a place to sleep)

P.S.  We also hope Daddy hits the jackpot!!! =)

Toys, Toys, Toys!

We have an overload of toys!  Now that we have had Mason's birthday party at our house and his birthday party at daycare, we could possibly have enough toys to share with every kid in Memphis.  I'm. Not. Kidding.  We have many of them still in their boxes in his room.  We are trying to open them one at a time so he has something new and fun all the time to entertain him.  I cannot say enough how blessed we are with our friends and family!

Here he is just chillin' on the side of his Cozy Coup.  (don't worry about his safety...his dad is always there to catch him in case he falls!)

"Move outta my way Mom! I'm comin through!"

Playing with his race track.  He has figured out how to make it spin all by himself!

I love love love this shirt!

This kid LOVES cars!

Just walkin...

Practicing mowing the lawn for the spring.

We were going to head to a pumpkin patch today, but it is raining.  It hasn't rained in a very long time so we were glad.  But of all days!

***Notice all of the toys on the ground!***

He does not enjoy staying still for a picture these days.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
