Parties, Parties, Parties

We had a jam packed weekend. All the Christmas parties started! We had four to go to in three days. We are all pretty exhausted today.

Friday night after work, we headed to a coworker of John's house. They have a huge party every year for their friends and families. There were tons of adults and even more kids. They hire babysitters and bartenders. It's a huge production.

We decided to leave Brody with John's parents since it didn't even start until 6:30. Mason had a blast. He played upstairs in the "boys" room with all the big boys. It was probably a look into my future, but those boys were literally wrestling. Mason thought it was so funny and wanted right in the middle. We had to make sure one of us was watching him all night.

They also handed out a toy for each kid. The older kids play dirty Santa. Mason got to go first for his age group and was so excited to pick out a gift. He got a shiny new calculator...he continued to tell everyone he would have rather had a car.

We had a great time. Mason was a little concerned we left Brody behind but we explained it was only a party for big boys...he thought he was something special then. I don't think he worried about Brody the rest of the night.

Saturday we headed to Mrs. Pat's Christmas party at a church in Germantown. They are always fun because Santa makes sure to stop by each year. It's great to see all kids reactions.

As soon as Santa walked in, Mason got so excited and ran right over to him. He and a little girl jumped right in his lap. He did not want to get down. Santa brings one toy for each kid there (even if they don't go to her house anymore). He calls out their name and they are supposed to walk up and get it, but most kids just scream even louder when they realize Santa knows their names. Haha. Then Mrs. Pat hands out the rest when Santa heads back to the North Pole.

Before the party in his reindeer shirt.

Walking right up to him.

How excited does this little guy look???

We got Brody up there too. I'm not sure he was into it as much as Mason.

Opening up his toy from Santa. It was a Spiderman race car track. He has not put it down since he opened it. It went to the party after and to Mickey Mouse and Pops house yesterday. And unfortunately, it is rather loud.

Saturday night we headed over to Mr. Charlie and Mrs. Linda's house for some good company and way too much good food. Here is Mason with that dern racetrack. He had fun playing with those "older girls".

Brody was pretty much done by this point. He had had enough fun!

Tried to get a picture in front of her amazing decorations but our big ole bodies are covering them. And my scarf is all turned around but oh well. :)

Mason and Brinkley had a big time. They played and fought and played and fought. Sounds about right for two three year olds! I think they are eating cupcakes here. They were the smaller cupcakes but Brinkley ate hers in several bites...Mason stuffed the entire thing in his mouth at one time.

Giving hugs before we left.

Then, finally last night we had my Friday job's work Christmas party. The kids stayed at my parents for a couple of hours while we were there. We always play dirty Santa and its pretty fun with so many people. I ended up bringing home four boxes of Cheez-its. It was supposed to be one of the funny gifts but those people don't realize how many Cheez-its our household can go through. Here was Mason after with our prize.

It was a busy weekend and we have another one coming up next weekend!!! Family Christmas, John's work party, and my DH friends Christmas get together with all of our kids and husbands. It's great to be able to spend so much time with family and friends this time of year!
