Redbirds Game

We took Mason to the Redbirds game Sunday night.  John's work had some extra suite tickets along with food and tickets to the Kids Zone.  The game didn't start until 6:00, so my Mom watched Brody at our house until we got home.  No way that little boy could hang that late.  

Mason had been pretty excited all weekend.

He said meeting Rocky the Redbird was his favorite part of the night.  You can see he is in heaven by that big grin on his face. 

We went down to the Kids Zone first.  He was trying very hard to win here. 

He wanted to do this ride that goes up and then drops.  He had fun, but it scared him when it dropped because he wasn't expecting it.  Instead of crying or saying anything, he just started nervously giggling.  It was pretty funny.  I think he will enjoy roller coasters. 

He is so small that he flies down these huge slides. .

And then there was the dreaded face painting.  She asked him what he wanted and he said a Redbird.  She couldn't do that.  So then she offered a baseball or Spiderman.  Of course he chose Spiderman.  Then she looked at me and asked if I wanted it to be half face or full face.  Half face or full face?!?!   Can't they do just a little face?!  I quickly tried to get him to switch to the baseball seeing it was hot and he would be sweating and getting tired.  That's when John stepped in and said let him have what he wants!

And I am currently washing that white polo for the THIRD time since I cannot get all that paint that he smeared on it off!  

We came back to the suite, ate some hot dogs, and watched some baseball.  I think this was right after the first pitch...that's when Mason asked us for the first of about 25 times if the baseball game was over.  (he didn't want it to be over, but he was worried it was)

This is the bowl they give you your ice cream in.  He was getting a little tired by this point but was proud of that bowl/hat.  

We had to leave right before the 9th inning started and we quickly used the rest of our tickets.  

The slide got him that time.  It flipped him all over the place. 

We had a great time.  Mason talked about the entire next day.  So glad we were able to do that.  Best part was Mason gets to use his ice cream bowl (hat) as a cereal bowl.
