Grandma and Grandpa came in town Thursday. The boys couldn't wait for them to arrive. Thursday night Mason also had a baseball scrimmage. We had been rained out the two weekends before and have yet to play a game! He was ready!
Of course right before time to scrimmage, it started looking like it was going to storm. Coach wanted Mason to pitch. Let me tell you, that was nerve wrecking. I'm not sure I can handle 9 year old baseball.....
But Mason did really well. It was the first time he has ever pitched with someone hitting. He struck out three and one run scored the first inning of his pitching debut. And right after that inning was over, the rain came so they called the scrimmage. They are never going to get to play!
Friday was the Grandparents Day lunch at school. The boys were so lucky to have them there! It was a great set up and a lot of fun.

Just like the weekends before, it rained ALLLLL weekend. Except this time was actual dangerous flooding. People were stranded all over town. We had dinner and decided to stay in Friday night.
Saturday morning, Judy and I took the boys to Urban Air. They had a great time doing the ninja warrior training.
And beating each other up.
Grandma and Grandpa took the dogs on a walk.
They boys loved going with them to walk the trails.
It was very overcast and a bit misty but weather conditions were much improved Sunday. High of 78, so it was even chilly at times. Great weather for a baseball game instead of the 110 degree heat. They recently opened Texas Live between the Rangers stadium and the Cowboys. We got there a couple of hours before to check it out.
It is basically a two story mall of restaurants and bars. And the center has this huge set up of TVs for all the games. It was pretty neat.
We were able to eat at the taco shop that was open to the main area, so we could watch football.

It was the last home game of the season. The last time Judy and Larry went to a Rangers game, it was at the old stadium. We figured they should check out this "new" stadium before they tear it down and open the "brand new" stadium in 2020.

We had no idea but since it was the last home game, you could run the bases and go on the field after the game. After skipping hundreds of people on accident, it was our turn.
The kids left me in the dust.
I thought it was pretty cool to just be on the field.
And even better, the Rangers won.
We had a great weekend despite the rain! Hope for more visits soon!
