Thanksgiving Part 1

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday with my family.  Mason had such a good time and did well, especially since he missed his nap!  Here are the millions of pictures I took.  =)

And first up, of course, is the cutest little boy in his "dinosaur" shirt on.  (only way he would agree to wear it was if we stopped calling it a turkey and started calling it a dinosaur)

Mom, Mrs. Peggy, and Gina cooking

Mason played all day in the kitchen with his cars

Before:

Fried Turkey after!  Yummy!

Wayyyyyy too many "fixins"

We had a regular turkey, fried turkey, and ham.

And who could forget the desserts?!?!

Coconut Pie

I did not know he was going to stick out his tongue!!

****Side Note:  I must note that none of us beat up Mamaw for Thanksgiving.  She had some deep cancer places removed from her face.  (this actually looks MUCH better!!!!!)****

Watching the big boys play football in the front yard.

Dad and John stuffed and happy!

I have soooo much to be thankful for this year.  My amazing husband who is a wonderful father to our perfect little boy, awesome family and friends that surround us, the fact that I love my job, the list goes on and on and on.  Not to mention, we have one more Thanksgiving to do tomorrow with John's side of the family!!

Catch Up

This past weekend Ole Miss played LSU so of course we headed to Oxford for that game.  We had a very fun, long day in the Grove but of course the outcome of the game was a different story.  Im ready for next season because it can only get better!  =)

Frying some yummy crab cakes.

It was still very crowded despite everyone knowing the outcome of the game before it started.

Sunday we all had a fun, lazy day just sitting around and cleaning the house.  We ended the day watching and dancing the AMAs.  Mason LOVES award shows because he has so much fun "dancing".  He actually just runs in a circle over and over again.  But he is constantly saying "Come on Mommy, come dance!"  We were taking a break here...

I am going to post the videos of his dancing tomorrow night once I get them uploaded.  They are priceless. =)

A Day Off and a Wedding

John and I went to the Zac Brown concert last Thursday night so we also both decided to take off work Friday.  We had a great time at the concert and even a better day Friday!

This was the only picture we took.

Friday morning we picked up Mason early and had to stop by the doctor to check on those stinkin ears!  We all had lunch and then were off to the zoo.  This was by far the best trip to the zoo yet.  Mason knows all the animals and was just so into it.

The pregnant elephant

The monkeys were rather interesting...

Looking at the pandas
We really need to take time off together like that more often!  It was so nice and I know Mason enjoyed it.

We had Tyler and Beth's wedding Saturday.  It was a blast hanging out with all of our friends.  Reese got to come too and I think she loved it!  You would have never even known she was there during the ceremony...you would have definatly known Mason was there if we had brought him.  =)

She loved the cake.  =)

Some of the girls.

We are truly so blessed to have so many wonderful friends in our lives!  I don't know what I would do without them all.  It is always so much fun to get together and even better when we are celebrating two getting married!

Well Thanksgiving is next week and I cannot believe it is almost here!  This just means, at our dental office, everyone starts sending fattening goodies like these cupcakes...

I have no hope!

And lastly, I will leave you with a sweet picture of me and Mason (from my Iphone).  He was grinning pretty good.

Happy Halloween!

This past weekend John went out of town for a double bachelor party.  All the girls decided to get dressed up for Halloween Saturday night.  We had a great time!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

*************
We all had a normal Halloween day and couldn't wait to get home for some trick-or-treating!

Mason dressed up as a sock monkey. I was sure he wouldn't wear it but he was just as happy as a lark.  Shocked me!

Walking up to Grandma and Grandpa's house.

We had to pause to watch some tv.

Gami and Pop's house.

Of course Pops got him a huge bag of M&M's.

Had to eat some...

He thought the tail was pretty funny once he found it.

We had a great time.  We went to a bunch of family and friends' houses and Mason got PLENTY of candy.  I hate that I didn't take pictures of people with him...but he stole the show.  =)

Halloween night is a WHOLE different story.  A couple of hours after Mason went to sleep he woke up screaming and would NOT go back to sleep.  After putting him in our bed, the guest bed, the couch (John and I taking turns the entire time), he finally went back to sleep at 5:00 am.  Wouldn't ya know at 6:00am I woke up with the stomach bug!  That is what you call a bad night!  I stayed home from work yesterday and we managed to get Mason to the doctor and some meds for his ear infections.  We all slept MUCH better last night!  Now I just pray no one else gets the bug!
