Christmas #1 : Christmas Eve

We started off Christmas Eve morning watching cartoons after eating breakfast casserole.  We all just kind of relaxed and it was nice.

Emma wanting to get on the couch and sleep.

Later that day we went to John's parents house.

Anxiously awaiting time to open presents!
 "Can I please open it?!?!"

Reese's present was taller then she was!

Mason's new sock monkey hat from Reese!

My very own bbq grill!!!  Thanks Reese

presents, presents, presents

getting the hang of unwrapping them
Great-Grandpa James and Mason with his fun new firetruck

Mason was loving Reese's Dora dollhouse she got.

So, Reese wanted to do a forward roll, then I told her I would do one too...somehow Great-Grandma Reba and Grandma Judy did one too?!?!  Here is Grandma Reba showing off her tricks!

Reese showed us her flip too.

Mason got a toooooon of clothes!!!  I had finally put them in some boxes so it would be easy to take home, and the little guy started taking them allllllll back out!

Robert has creepy eyes in this picture. =)

Fun Christmas Eve!

I will soon get the other pictures posted.  We took lots and lots of pictures this weekend!!!!  (and we have one more Christmas tomorrow!!)  Hope everyone had a merry Christmas!

14 Months

Well over a week ago Mason turned 14 months...

I completely forgot to post about it! Oops.  Ashley asked me yesterday where the post was, and until then I had not once thought about it!!!

Anyways, here are some estimated stats:  (we will get new ones at 15 month)

Weight:  I honestly have no idea??  Maybe 23 lbs???
Height:  Last time he was in 75%

*we are RUNNING now and we run EVERYWHERE, we have to shut most of the doors to the other rooms.  if we turn our heads for one minute, we lose him!

*NO MORE BOTTLES!!!  i cannot tell you how happy I am to know I do not have to wash bottles every night! =)

*we are really working on talking.  he knows where eyes and nose are, can say Ho, Ho, Ho, and just the other everyday things.  you can see his little lips working so hard trying to mimic what we say.

*he does NOT take "no" for an answer, he also laughs when we say "no".  we are working on this.
*he is getting sweeter by the day.  he loves giving hugs.

*this child LOVES to have his back scratched.  he will stop dead in his tracks for you to scratch it.

We are so blessed to have such an awesome, sweet little boy.  He is getting so big too fast!  I never knew we could love someone so much or someone so little could bring so much joy into our house!  We are certainly blessed this year!

Another Santa Experience

Our babysitter, Mrs. Pat, always has a fun Christmas party at her house and it was this past Friday.
She really out did herself!  She had all kinds of food and way too many gifts for the kids.  She even had Santa come!  One of the little girl's dad came about 15 minutes after everyone got there in a Santa suit.  All the kids that have stayed there in the past were invited as well as any siblings so there were a lot of kids!  Not to mention all the parents were there.

"Wait a second Mom...I was having fun but is that Santa walking through the door?!?!?"

Henry is three and honestly was the ONLY kid that was excited about Santa being there.  I mean EVERYONE else was either crying or had a terrified look on their face!  Henry helped Santa hand out the gifts.  The gifts were labeled for each individual kid...when Santa called out their names, you would have thought they were in trouble!  It was so sad but it was funny too.

Where's Mason???   poor thing

"Is he still over there Mom?!?! "

So this is Santa's actual little girl so I think this picture is too funny.  She was not too happy to be sitting in his lap!  Santa went back to the North Pole after he handed out presents (went home to change clothes), then he came back over.  She was very excited to see her Daddy.  Mason on the other hand would not stop eying the guy...I don't think he fooled Mr. Mason!

No other kid in sight besides Henry. =)

"Can we leave yet??? "

"Someone save me!"

Our favorite movie!  Thanks Mrs. Pat!

Toys!

Opening presents.

I thought the Christmas party was so nice, just probably a bad age for most of the kids with Santa!  We had a fun time watching all the kids opening presents and talking with the parents.  We are soooo thankful we have Mrs. Pat to take care of our little guy all day long.

Randoms...

We have been getting into everything these days!  Who doesn't love pretending the remote control isn't a phone?!?!

Little dare devil we have on our hands.  John was taking out the trash and before we could put the lid back on the can...someone just hopped on!

This is a terrible picture of the little guy but here he is jumping on his Tow-Mater!

He wants to be just like his daddy when he grows up, so why not start by wearing his hat???  =)  I love this picture because he is looking at John with that huge grin on his face.

We went to Mr. Charlie and Mrs. Linda's house for a Christmas party this past Saturday night.  We had such a good time!  I was a little worried about Mason just because he is usually in bed by 7:00pm but he did so well!!!  ( as well as Brinkley)   They had sooo much fun just playing all night.  I didn't get a good picture of him in his cute little outfit.

With Cici and Gami.

I love this because they are looking up to the grandmothers.

She was singing "Row Row Row Your Boat".

It is soooo cold here lately.  They even say we could have freezing rain (although I'm sure not) tomorrow.  We have just been staying bundled up and getting ready for Christmas!  Not too far away! =)

Santa Claus is Coming to Town...

Our Christmas tree is up!  We got a new one this year from Target on Black Friday for $30!!! It is only 6ft tall and soooo worth it!  We have yet to experience a pre-lit tree, and it is everything everyone talks about.  Our old tree was also much bigger.  This tree popped right up ready for ornaments, no furniture had to be moved, has room for presents under (with the help of a wooden box my dad made), and taller for Mason's sake!

We thought Mason wouldn't be so tempted with the tree lifted up but I'm not too sure it made a difference.  Everyday it is the same battle...he takes off the ornaments.  Without. Fail.

He especially loves the red and gold shiny balls.  (shatterproof)

And I love this ornament which is why it is much higher!!!!!

Another battle are the stockings.  I really feel like this isn't his fault because we have no fireplace with mantle; therefore, he is right at eye level with the stockings on our TV stand.  I decided not to put the garland up here this year also.

Here is his stocking this year.  After Christmas I am going to order us all new matching stockings but until then...

He loves looking at the lights change.

Presents!

We went to see Santa at Saddle Creek.  They have all kinds of fun stuff.  They make balloons, candy, fake snow is blowing, and Santa is there.

It was sooooo cold!!! Honestly, the "fake" snow made it seem like a blizzard.  We got Mason out of the stroller but as soon as he spotted Santa, he started screaming!  It was so sad!
His little lip is out! =(

We might still take him to an indoor mall where it isn't so cold.

And here he is after...

he got a candy cane balloon at the mall and John kept putting static in his hair.  Mason thought it was pretty funny.

Our Laughing Man

I talked about a video of Mason laughing the other day.  I finally uploaded it to the computer.  I love it.  Usually when we get the camera out he stops doing whatever we were about to record.  This day he actually kept laughing.  I love his little laugh! =)

Thanksgiving Part 2

Friday morning my mom and headed out early to get some good deals with all the other crazies! =)  We had a good time!

We had dinner at Grandma Reba's house around 3:00.  We stuffed our faces again!  It was Grandpa James' birthday Saturday so we had some cake Friday night.  Reese brought him the cake and Mason brought in his card.  It was very cute.  When we all sang Happy Birthday, Reese thought we were singing to her! =)  We tried to get pictures of Reese and Mason, but that is much more difficult these days.

Reese helping Mason with his sippy cup.

His dad will be so proud. =)

Saturday we went to Water Valley, MS for one of John's family's Christmas party before John and I went to the cold football game.

Sunday when I got home from running errands, John and Mason were no where to be found in the house.  I walked outside and this is what I saw!  John and Mason walking around the block with the wagon.  So cute.

That is all for now!
